Haier 7.1 Cu ft Capacity Chest Freezer, White, HF71CW20W

The unit arrived a day early which was nice. It was well packaged and turned out to be a box within a box which probably saved it from handling abuse. Moved it into place and plugged it in after removing all the protective packaging. Set the control to 6, lowest temperature is 7. Let it run all day and when temperature was stabilized filled it at least 3/4 full with already frozen strawberries. blueberries, black berries and huckleberries. I cut vertical dividers out of door skin plywood with pass thru holes and windows to allow air to circulate freely. The big problem with chest freezers is everything falls over as you rummage thru looking for something and you end up with a mess all the time. These dividers sit on the floor of the chest and come up about 80% of the height ending well below the lip of the freezer. After a couple days the temperature stabilized to my satisfaction at -5 degrees F and I turned the setting down to 4. It is now holding at -5 without issues. We bought this to augment our berry storage for the winter months as it was taking up too much space in our "garage" refer freezer. The brand is an unknown to us of course but the quality seems to be very good. Would be nice if it came with a 2nd or even 3rd basket but none of the chest freezers do. Highly recommend this and the folks at Walmart for the great job they do.

GOT THIS FOR MY AUNT SHE SAID AS SOON AS THEY PLUG IT IN IT START GETTING COLD. GREAT FOR SMALL SPACE. HOLD LARGE AMOUNT OF FOOD. VERY HAPPY WITH PURCHASE. THEY DELIVERED THIS FREEZER EARLY. GREAT PRICE. WALMART HAD THE BEST PRICE SEEN SAME FREEZER OTHER PLACES FOR MORE MONEY ON SALE AT WALMART.

My freezer in the kitchen was overflowing to the point that the door wouldn't stay closed. Getting extremely irritated I started researching small chest freezers to put in my second room in my apartment. We picked the Haier based on reviews and price point. The freezer is wonderful, quiet and has lots of room. It comes with one (1) basket and I'll need to buy more but if that's the only complaint I'd say I'm in good shape. Oh and buy the three (3) year service warrantee offered with the unit it's only $25.00. A small price to pay for piece of mind.

I absolutely love it. It was the perfect size for my family needs and it works great. I love the fact that I can adjust the temperature. Ordering was easy and picking it up at the store was even better. The staff was very helpful in getting my order right away and even helped me load it into my vehicle. Very pleased!

So far,freezer works great and is plenty big. Only problem is went thru 3 different boxes to find one not all bent and nicked. Looks good on package outside but when you open them at home you find all kinds of damage on exterior. Be sure you open box at store even when box outside looks fine.

Great price and size for us. After reading the reviews we knew it would likely arrive "dinged" up and we were right. The right hand side is nearly an inch lower than the left side. Looked like it got dropped at the wharehouse. Still with some shims it sits without rocking much. Two other smaller debts but they do not appear to interfere with functionality. One review mentioned the limited basket space so we ordered 3 extras that make the unit very versatile (they are only $6 each). It runs quietly uses very little power and gives us the extra freezer space we need.

The box was left in our garage on its end. We had to wait 24 hours to plug it in. There was a large dent in the bottom outside of the freezer and a smaller dent on the side that will have to be painted so it won't rust. The freezer seems fine but I would recommend either better packing or a better shipping company.

I had read most reviews before deciding to make the purchase. All in all, I am very pleased with my decision. I'm not thrilled, but expected there to be external damage, and there is. There are two major dents, one on the side and one at the bottom near the temperature setting. The plastic piece around the power light is disengaged from the freezer. Can't be popped in. I'm hoping some gorilla glue will help. If returning items of this size wouldn't be so difficult, I just may......However, as the saying goes, don't judge a book by its cover. It is definitely full of space and met and maintains its temperature. For the reasonable cost of this product, I'm not going to let a couple dings deter me from enjoying it, or giving it a decent review. Just, if you're one of those people that pick apart everything, you may not want to order this item and have shipped to you.

I was sold the floor model and walmart failed to disclose that to me. I gave this item as a gift and I felt really bad but it's too bulky to transport back to store. The base is rusty and had no form to protect it as it normally comes. I am not happy about this purchase but am too busy to return the order. I know for a fact I am not shopping at walmart anytime soon or may be never.

Skeptical about ordering the reviews I read said their freezers came dented. I took my chances and yes mine came dented. Not sure if it was dented before being shipped or during. I witnessed the fed ex guy drop the box off the truck and proceed to roll it across my lawn before saying " this is heavy what is it?" I said a freezer! I'm happy with the freezer but not the dent. I would recommend Walmart not ship with fed ex anymore!
