Cute ornament definitely not for everyone. The mermaid is about 4.5 inches long and lights up when you press the button disguised as a necklace. It lights up several colors giving her tail that mermaid shimmer effect. Batteries were included. However there was no string to hang it from. I had to use my own string.

This is such a nice little ornament! My 5 year old loves Barbies - she has the Barbie doll that matches this ornament. When I gave this ornament to her as a gift for the tree this year, her face lit up so much! She loves it and was amazed that it matched her Barbie. It is great quality, well made, and very accurate looking. The details are really amazing. You make her tail light up by pushing a button on her necklace. Comes with batteries and works great. Love this Christmas magic this brings! Great way to remember her love for Barbies at this time in her life.

It's a bit smaller than I thought it would be but it's really adorable. I love that the tail lights up but it doesn't stay on. It lights up for about 5-10 seconds and then switches off. You have to keep hitting the button on her necklace to see it. Which is fine, after all it's for the kids and we wouldn't want to go though a ton of button batteries.

My 4-year-old loves her Barbie mermaid ornament. She doesn’t leave it hanging on the tree but instead hangs it on her bed. She basically uses it as a toy and plays with it with her other toys. This ornament is beautifully made and has bright, pretty colors. The light up feature is really really and the ornament comes with the small batteries needed. Once it is lit, after a few minutes it’ll shut off by itself. Just push the tiny button on her necklace to turn the light back on. This ornament would look lovely on any Christmas tree.

I got my daughter the Hallmark Keepsake Ornament Mermaid Barbie With Light up tail because she adores barbies and christmas decorations. When I was a kid I got a barbie ornament that was just a ball with images of barbie in the snow on it. To this day that ornament graces my tree. This beautiful ornament was a huge upgrade and a stunning one. The craftsman ship of the barbie is truly beautiful but i do have a couple complaints… there are no pull out directions there is one line on the side of the box that says push the button to turn it on. My issue is unless you know how watch batteries are suppose to go when stacking them. Usually there are written instructions with battery placement and how to turn it on. The battery compartment is surprisingly mind blowingly annoying to try and pry open it took me way too long. The only thing hard than opening the battery compartment was finding the button. so let save you the embarrassment i experienced … the bottom is the top shell of her necklace. Also it only lights up for a minute which i do wish the light show went on longer.

With the upcoming Christmas season, it is always pleasing to have the right accessories to bring my home to life. I love this Hallmark Keepsake Ornament (Mermaid Barbie With Light), it is pretty, light weighted, easy to store, colorful, and gives an extra pop of beauty to my surrounding. The best part for me is that it came with batteries. I would recommend it.

This Barbie ornament is an official trademarked piece that is small in size, it's about the size of an ice cube. It lights up but you will need a very small screwdriver to open it up. It also comes with batteries which is a nice touch. The colors of the mermaid ornament are bright and vibrant. When placed on the tree it doesn't get lost and my girls love it.

I got this Hallmark Keepsake for my friend who loves all things Mermaid but may keep it myself! I think it’s cute hanging from my rear view mirror. The one thing to note is that it doesn’t come with a string or way to hang but has a hole for a ribbon or whatnot.

I really like it. However, the light doesn't work well, It is not easy to place the batteries in it. They are small batteries and you must have a very small screw driver to open the battery case. It is beautiful. My granddaughter loved it. Just wish that it would light up,
