Halo: Season One (Steelbook)

I grew up playing the original Halo games, The first is STILL my all time favorite FPS. With that said, I really enjoyed this series. I understand why some fans don't but I just separate it from the games and enjoy it for what it is. The story is intriguing enough to keep me invested. I think the cgi is mostly good, keeping in mind that it isn't going to have the budget of a blockbuster movie. This 4K release looks gorgeous but more importantly to me, it sounds pretty great with this Atmos mix. It definitely bests the compressed Paramount stream. Anyways. I love the artwork on the steelbook. If you're a fan, snag it. If you're new to the Halo universe I recommend giving it a shot.

The Steelbook was shipped with good protection. The finish of the case is light glossy. Overall, it was a great presentation!

Season 2 is overall a far better storyline arc than season 1. S2 is filled with much more action and actually has the Covenant (aliens) in the series. Acting was decent, but once again the show gets slight minus points for mostly making me hate the humans and want the Covenant to be successful in wiping them out... And... I believe that it is in this very failure, that led to the series getting axed before completion. I don't have a lot of hope that it will get picked up and financed by another carrier, so the story will remain incomplete... The steelbook packaging is nice and I like it as much as last season's steelbook. I must say, Fallout and The Last Of Us have both done a better job at bringing the game world to the screen... But hey... At least it isn't Borderlands. Halo deserved another season at minimum. I suspect that this will become a relatively rare collector's item, and if you like Sci-fi shows, you should definitely buy this before it goes out of print.

I'm a big fan of the show and it looks excellent on 4k disc , however the steelbooks do snap close, i bought 2 different ones n both didn't snap so i just said whatever not gonna order a third because I'm sure that'll be the same , but if you can get passed that then i definitely recommend, if not go for the slipcover version.
