HALTER O/S 11-16 W/NOSE PAD BURGUNDY

Just purchased this halter but definitely high quality and designed to last. We needed padding as the old halters were rubbing my horse's face so I am sure this will be more comfortable. Plus, it's a break-away which is important to me and he looks very handsome in it!❤️

This is a well-made halter. Love the padding, and especially the snap in the throat latch—finally a fastener that can't be easily crushed when my mare gets down to roll.

Been looking for a inexpensive oversized halter for my mare. This one fits her perfect!! She just outgrew normal horse size but, most Warmblood/draft are huge, this has lots of adjustment.

I bought two of these for each of my horses in the pretty blue color since they are out in the sun all day, it is the lightest available. Their leather halters were giving them rubs. I haven't had an issue since buying these. They look great and I needed a breakaway as well, makes me feel better.

We have purchased several padded breakaways over the years, and won't go with anything else for everyday use. Attractive, sturdy, safe, and comfortable on our boys, not to mention they last FOREVER. We bought two new ones this Christmas only because ours had faded over time, and we just wanted a brighter ones for photos.

Appeared to be a nice, good looking, quality halter. However, it broke after about 2 months of light useage. My horse casually threw his head up on the cross ties, and crown piece broke. Looking at the broken piece, it was very thin, thinner than most break away tack pieces, and was showing signs of wear from light use. Plus, there is no replacement available for the crownpiece.

Nice but my horse has figured out how to get it off. Already. I like the way it looks on him. But he has stretched the leather so now he can get it off. No dummy thats for sure.

This halter is well made and looks nice. I ordered 2, one for each of my horses who are turned out all day, so that they could be safer than just in their solid nylon halters. Both of my horses got rubbs from these halters in the same spot. On the chin, just under where the noseband hardware is. My TB mare has sensitive skin, so it wasn't unexpected with her. However, my draft cross also got rubbs.They have gone back to wearing their old halters. Unfortunatly, I wrote their names on the halters, after checking that they fit, not realizing they would rub them.

I bought this halter two months ago and it broke yesterday after my horse stepped on his lead line and barely brought his head up - the breakaway leather snapped immediately under very little pressure. The padding is great, but the leather attached to it is very thin and broke way too easily. Plus, I got a horse size, but it was too big for my thoroughbred, even on the smallest setting. The design doesn't allow for extra holes to be poked into the padding. Lastly (and this isn't a big deal, but worth a mention), the color faded almost immediately. It went from royal blue to light blue in less than a month. If it didn't break so easily I could deal with the size and color issues, but it only lasted two months, and I didn't even use it that much during that time. I love SmartPak's products, and I've never written a poor review, but I was just so disappointed with the poor quality of this halter. I really like the padding, just wish the rest of the halter was more durable.

I bought cob, horse, and oversize. All three did not fit my three horses! The chin strap did not fit right. Please do not waste your money! I tried to get all three to fit by repositioning and moving around. NO luck. All three are on the way back.
