I know it's silly to be as good of a cook as I am but still love hamburger helper! Not just any kind, just this kind specifically! And yes I've made this same thing homemade, everything from sliding the potatoes to the homemade brown gravy but nothing is like good old hamburger helper! Been eating it my entire life! Gotta have a slice of bread with it!!
I NEVER STICK TO BOX INSTRUCTIONS WHEN YOUR A GOOD COOK YOU CAN ADD WHATEVER YOU WANT TO MAKE IT YOUR OWN GET GREEN YELLOW RED PEPPERS AND ONIONS AND M8X IT WITH YOUR 3LB HAMBURGER MEAT GET EXTRA PENNE PASTA GET TOMATO PASTE IN THE TUBE AND GO TO WORK
Four cheese lasagna Hamburger helper is alway great for days that you didnt meal prep or super busy day. I prefer to cook it everyday but family get tired of it. It's fast, tastes good, and for pasta lovers all you need is milk water and hamburger meat. i take ours a little futher and add a can of spinach and shake parmesean cheese on it. Walmart always has it!
In my opinion, this is the my favorite brand of hamburger helper and it's also the hardest one to get had to be shipped and Walmart surprise me because I was told they were out of stock and so I tried to order though the stroganoff with noodles and they must've seen that because when they delivered it, they delivered the hamburger helper potato creamy stroganoff and that I thought was so thoughtful and I thank them for that cause once again that's my favorite kind. I love it if there's more people sometimes I cut up a little a little potato in there along with with the rest and taste great I just hope that I'm gonna be able to get this card in the future. I'll definitely order more than two boxes.
I'm so happy that I can now get this product at Walmart again. It was my favorite for years, and then it suddenly disappeared. Oh, I could get it on Amazon Fresh, but the price was too high. So when I saw it at Walmart, I quickly snatched it. I love the corkscrew pasta. Instead of milk, I added sour cream, and I added a couple slices of American cheese. It's the familiar taste that I so fondly remember from years ago. I'm one happy customer. For those who want a bit of extra flavor, try adding a teaspoon of chicken base or stock.
For a humble pantry staple this four cheese lasagna mix is surprisingly satisfying. The pasta cooks to a lovely texture and the cheese blend while not artisanal is creamy savory and comforting in that nostalgic weeknight dinner kind of way. I recommend sautéing a bit of garlic and onion before adding your ground beef. It elevates the flavor and gives the illusion of homemade effort. I served it with a side salad and some crusty bread and my family didn’t ask a single question. Is it gourmet? No. But it is convenient budget friendly and a fine choice when you want something easy and warm without sacrificing flavor. A sprinkle of parsley on top never hurts.
I always keep a box or two of Hamburger Helper Tomato Basil Penne in the pantry. This is our family favorite. We enjoy this much more than spaghetti or lasagna. We eat the leftovers cold too. The flavor is so good, kids love it as well. Served with a salad and garlic toast it makes a feast. Forget Olive Garden, this is so good.
Hamburger Helper Cheesy Hashbrown has ALWAYS been mine and my family's favorite! I can't find it in stores around my area. But it's the best one they have to me! Sometimes I add a little more minced onion to it and some salt and pepper to the meat. And my son likes it with ketchup.
My brother and I love this flavor of Hamburger Helper. We make it a few times a month usually. I only use enough water to cover the pasta, and cook the pasta in a different pot than the hamburger to make it quicker to make, otherwise it takes too long to cook down the water IMO. It cones out thicker that way. Great Tomato Basil flavor, so slightly sweet to offset the acidity of the tomato.
I use ground beef for this recipe, but sometimes substitute organic ground turkey. It has a good flavor and takes about 15 minutes. I like to add vegetables right in the pan while it's cooking (either fresh or frozen) and help make it a healthier choice. I usually add the vegetables in the last 2 to 5 minutes, depending on what it is.
