Absolutely.Love this brand the previous microwave that I had what's from the eye was married. What's wrong with my husband that microwave had lasted for 13 some years with amazing kickbutt power. Loved it so I had to repurchase.I'm hoping this one similar hence I bought another!
Some adjustment required with cooking times because this unit is significantly more powerful than our previous microwave. Listen carefully when cooking popcorn because the kernels will be done as much as 15 seconds sooner than you're used to with your old machine.
So many microwaves panels are Very Hard to See with too much black on the panel. The panel on This Microwave Is Wonderful Letters and Numbers Are Easily Seen!!
I took advantage of Ohio's sales tax holiday %26 purchased this microwave oven, including the protection plan for under $100 after my old one quit working properly. So far, I've not had any issues with it. Time will tell.
Great appliance. A little bigger than I had expected but still fit perfectly where we had intended for it to go. The only negative to this purchase is that the door is not level straight across. In the past I would use the microwave to store food for late arriving guest, to keep flys and gnats from getting to it, unfortunately I cannot do that with this one.
We purchased this when our 30-year-old Gold Star died. I am still not sure how I like it. It is bigger than the old one, and has more power. It also draws more power when it works. I find it strange, that there are two ways to set the time. either hit the time cook button, set the time and push start, or just push a number (1-6) on the keypad and it automatically starts. It sometimes makes strange noises; I am starting to think that it is an amplified noise of things cooking (boiling or ....). Also, the bottom of the oven must be kept clean, or the carrousel makes funny noises when it runs over crumbs. The oven is quite large, much bigger than our old oven. both taller and wider. The turntable glass plate is of good quality, thick and heavy. The noise level when the oven runs is acceptable. The door slams, and without a door button, there is no way to stop that. The door handle piece that is a bit wobbly, but it doesn't affect anything. Given the options and the price, I would probably buy again.
As far as the heating, it heats well but be prepared for rattling It's not a tight fit of the outer shell so when you turn it on, you'll hear rattling, it's noisy, I know all microwaves make some noise, but, It's loud. I have it on a level surface and it doesn't matter where I move it to, it still rattles, also, inside you hear the plate turning, The metal trim gets dirty quickly, you have to wipe it after every use, the door does not open at a push of a button, it must be pulled. One nice feature is that you can preset heating times from 1 minute on up, there is a sequence that you have to follow, but, I figured it out without looking at the manual and I am not tech savvy. It's a cheap price, but quality is not high. If you need it in a pinch then I suggest you get it, but only if you're looking to replace one and you'll be saving for another microwave then I suggest you buy it, but if you're looking for a top quality, good performance one then I would not recommend it.
I really can't give an opinion about this microwave oven. I took it back because it was really too big for I need. I didn't even open the box ,but I will say it looked like it was handled nicely. I have received things and the package was an absolute mess. But, if I would had the space for it, I probably would have kept it. Hamilton Beach is a good product, and I have a lot of their things from a stand mixer to an air fryer/ toaster oven. I would recommend the Hamilton Beach products.
Shipping was great. The item received on outward appearance from the box looked great. Took it out of the box and set it up. It is not a level microwave! It does not come with adjustable legs. Even though it's going on the same counter that my previous microwave (that broke) was removed from, so I know the counter was level. I did try it on 7 other surfaces including the floor, to make sure it was a microwave issue and not a crooked counter top issue, and this microwave is completely lopsided. The legs are not adjustable. There's no way to fix it. It's going back. So I never used it. I don't even know if it's a great microwave, but I'm not going to buy the same one again and possibly deal with the same problem.
It worked fine for about 2 months, then all of a sudden it began shooting microwave sparks inside the microwave so violent that I thought it would explode. even when it does not have anything in it to heat.
