Hamilton Beach 1.7 Liter Glass Kettle Variable Temperature

Can't think of anything I dislike, love everything: it's fast, love all the different temp settings, it's quiet, and I love the cool blue light. I've only had it a week, but so far so good.

My last electric kettle gave out and I needed to find a new one fast! The Hamilton Beach Variable Temperature Glass Kettle is great! It has different temperature setting for teas and coffee. It also has a feature which I wish I had on my old kettle...it shuts itself off so it does not boil dry!

The kettle heats up pretty fast in comparison to other brands and the uniit hold ALOT of water too. The look is also pretty sleek, modern. So it doesn't look terrible sitting on the counter top.

I loved my tea kettle until one day a couple weeks ago it just stopped working.

We bough one just under a year ago. It now leaks through the bottom. Water and electrical connections... Not two things I want to mix.

Fine white sand-like sediment collects in the tea kettle. We boiled water in a stainless steel pan to reproduce sediment seen in kettle and no sediment precipitated. Professional tap water test indicated there is no sediment in our water. The substance is slightly sticky and hard to clean off plus the kettle lid can't be fully removed to clean the kettle. Because we don't know what this stuff is we won't be using the kettle. Please check that the kettle materials aren't the source of the unknown substance forming in the kettle.

My kettle after two weeks been used had stopped working. i don't know rhe reason. the Blue Led lights doesn't appear. and power is off all the time .so i needhelp to this product model# 40941 Series# B1022ER

If the kettle doesn't break in some way, it is an actually great kettle. But I have had nothing but problems after problems. The open button being stuck and/or just coming off all together. The buttons will just randomly to permanently stop working. Support has not been helpful at all or even have they addressed the design issues stated above. Just we can give you a discount code for a new one. I have had up to almost 4 of these and the same problems keep coming up.

I received this as a gift today. I followed the instructions to boil water 2-3 times to the fill level to get the kettle ready for regular usage. I boiled the first amount, poured it out, and then touched the glass part lightly with my fingers to assess the temperature. I waited several seconds and then refilled with warm-hot tap water. Brought it to a boil a second time, and then noticed a crack in the glass after I poured out the second batch.

Used 1-2 times daily. Almost poured boiling water all over myself. I bought this beauty about 2 months ago…not sure what happened but the glass cracked and it fell apart in my hand. And of course I didn't keep the original box so I can't even try to return it. So disappointing! My old kettle served me for 10 years…
