To me, it is the best on the market. It is durable, a little pricey, but simplified and easy to operate. It lasts a long time. I only bought this new one because my grandson dropped and broke my other one that I purchased in the eighties. Love Hamilton Beach Products.
Okay, let's get the dislikes at the way for me. The dislike is, it is a little on the bulky side. With that out of the way I love that i'm able to do two sets of either baggles or brighter, one of each um, it's very easy and convenient to use, pretty much self explanatory on which buttons to push for what for bagels or just toast. It has an auto eject when it hits the temperature, you set it to or you can egypt, one side or the other?Oh my gosh on your own. But the slice slots are pretty good size, so you don't have trouble getting bagels in it. But it's small enough to actually hold bread to make toast.
This toaster toasts very inconsistently. Sometimes the toast is almost burned on one side and only slightly toasted on the other side. Other times, it’s slightly toasted on both sides. I really expected a Hamilton Beach product to be of better quality and consistency.
Received as scheduled, well packaged. Purchased to replace a 20 year old Hamilton Beach Toaster that would no longer "latch down" on one side. This toaster is much lighter than previous and 1 -1/2" shorter in height and therefore "travel" of pop-up elevator is less resulting in bread or other item not projecting far enough above toaster after browning to remove with fingers w/o touching hot toaster. May need to use "tongs" to avoid hot toaster. Not sure about reliability since only received short time ago. To it's credit, it has thus far made acceptable toast. Overall quality much less than previous appliance.
There is no pop up feature, you can't tell it to stop, you have to yank on the slides, it's miserable. Cook an English muffin in this and get them as SOON as they come up! I guarantee you that you will burn your fingers. Wish I had just replaced my old Black and Decker in kind.
the appearance looks great; however, English muffins have to be extracted by whatever neans necessary and the setting must be turned to the darkest mode to get something brown. I'm glad this was for us and not a gift, that would've been embarrassing.
A toaster that does not toast…But it is capable of warming 4 pieces of bread at a time! It only took three toasting cycles at the max heat setting to establish itself as toast. If you have time on your hands it will be perfect for you! Boy is it pretty, you'll be able to admire it while you are experiencing the toasting evolution.
This toaster didn't work out of the box! One side didn't stay down at all and the other side burned the bread. Just an awful product all together. I bought one of the cheapest toasters, albeit it's not 4 slices, it works great! More is not always better! I definitely returned it!
I've been using Hamilton Beach since the 60's. I'm 76 and really disappointed in this product. I had bought this same priced toaster 7 yrs ago and it was so much better in quality, size of slots, overall appearance and heavier feel. When this came and I opened it- I was shocked. Smaller, cheap looking appearance and shorter cord. I'm waiting 2 weeks and then I'll be shopping for a toaster- not a Hamilton Beach. 😢 Shame on you!!
this toaster actually was less in-depth than a normal toaster and to put bread in it you would have to flip it over to get the top side of it toasted properly, for that reason it was returned.
