I like how it is programed. So, you don't have to think of the time. I made a great recipe Hawaiian Chicken. I had a crockpot for 25 years, I'm sure this one will last as long!

It is light and easy to handle. The pan can be put on a stove for initial searing or cooking meats and other foods before starting the actual cooking process. I made a pot of chilli after receiving this as a Christmas gift and it turned out great. I love the no stick pan.

Great product! I love that I can brown meat and then switch it over to slow cooking. Saves time and less dishes to clean. Also love that it is lightweight. So many slow cookers are so heavy. I had a previous version of this, I like that it is less bulky than the previous version. Just wish they would have kept non-metal handles on it, like the last version. That made for easy "transportation", especially when it is hot!

One thing I wish i had was something to hold the lid down when transporting this to a family get together. I will be using this to make stews and soups.

I've had this size slow cooker before but I had dropped the insert and broke it. This one in particular has an aluminum coated pan inside for the insert. I really liked this and it cooked the same. I'm looking forward to a less cumbersome slow cooker that is easy to clean.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This slow cooker is more versatile then other models. You don't need an extra pan to sear meat and vegetables on the stove. Just put the lightweight aluminum insert on any cook top and brown your meat. Using potholder put the pan into the base, add the rest of the ingredients, cover and let cook. You can even serve it straight to table. After using it simply took the pan and either wash it by hand or in the dishwasher. This pot is great for anyone who has difficulty with the cookers that have heavy ceramic inserts.

my previous slow cooker like this, same brand, was better but an older model perished in house fire. i wish they never changed it. lid does not lock like my other one, and on high does not come to a boil like my other one. i use to be able to sear my meat in pot, put on slow cooker base on low, than change it to high to boil and add my dumplings directly in. now i have to take off base and put back on stove. which is fine, but i stil miss the locking lid
