I am an Arkansas fan, so of course I love the red! I previously owned the exact model, in a different color, but the pot cracked (our fault) so I was very pleased when this one was on sale! It lasted a very long time, and I hope this one does as well! I love the simple setting options and the locking lid. It does get hot on th outside, but I thought they all did? I highly recommend!
everything works great. I just wish they would have taped the ceramic lid for the dip warmer. While pulling the Styrofoam block out i had no idea that there would be a lid on the outside of the styrofoam so my ceramic lid hit the floor and shattered. In order to get a new one as far as i can tell i would have to reorder the set.
I bought this to replace an old, round cooker that had finally died. I also lost over 4 pounds of chicken because I didn't realize that the cooker wasn't heating up until several hours later so the chicken wasn't safe to eat. Because of this I wanted my replacement cooker to have lights to indicate that it was on. This cooker was on clearance and has lights for the time and temperature setting. It is oval, which now that I've tried it, I much prefer over the typical circular design. It is a large 7 quart cooker that I originally hesitated to buy thinking that it was oversized for my 2 person family. However, I recently started using Souper Cubes to freeze leftovers and find the larger cooker to be perfect for making large meals that I can eat fresh and still have plenty of leftovers for lunches and for freezing to eat later. I have some medical issues and sometimes don't have the will or the energy to cook and these freezer meals have saved me a fortune in takeout and are healthier and better tasting to boot! The controls are very intuitive and easy to use. Just click one button to cycle through the temperature choices (high, low, and keep warm). Below that is another button that allows you to choose the cook time in 2 hour increments going from 2 hours up to 10 hours. The lid is see through and has a cushion to keep it from chipping the ceramic pot. There is also a simple locking function for the lid to keep it secure when moving or storing the cooker. The cooker has a heavy ceramic inner pot that can be removed for cleaning or serving. I've been using this cooker at least twice a week for a couple of months and it is still performing well and looks as good as new. Oh, and I LOVE the red color! As a bonus, this cooker comes with another, very small, cooker that is perfect for making dips.
I would recommend this slow cooker to anybody who wants it because it is great. I like it because it causes the handle the handle shuts down real nice and I like the timer because it works fantastic. It's easy to use and then you've got be able to carry it to anywhere you want because you won't build it at the little one I haven't used that much but I used the big one for a lot of stuff.
My 8.34 lb. pork shoulder came out perfect. The picture is the roast with 4 hours to go. The little dipper food warmer died after the 1st use but the company sent me a whole new 7qt. crock and the little dipper thingy in black. Hence the 5 star rating. I'm very happy with the performance of the 7 qt. crock. My pulled pork was a smash hit! P.S. Looks like I better clean the wall under the cabinets. lol.
I love the 7 qt slow cooker. Great product! The smaller slow cooker is very very small. Smaller than I envisioned? Oh well, I guess you can't have everything in life! Thank you
Love this crock pot! Was torn between this one and the original. Brought both for my daughters and definitely like this one mix better! It cooks beautifully looks amazing and the color is great! Great value and choice for my daughter's young family especially with a locking mechanism to keep kids a little safer.
LITTLE CROCK POT IS ABOUT THE SIZE OF A COFFEE CIP INSIDE-- BE ENOUGH TO HANDLE A FONDOO CHEESE? AINT MUCH HEATING THE BACK RIGHT CORNER GETS WAY HOTTER THAN THE REST ACCORDING TO MY THERMOMETER SO IT DONT HEAT EVENLY SO I GUESS OVERALL QUALITY ISNT IMPORTANT
Ordered color red and received the silver chrome one. I called Walmart customer service and was told that item is "possibly" out of stock and they "possibly " sent me a replacement. But it shows in stock on line. They were no help and told me to return it for refund and unable to replace . Initially told,me item was unreturnable, but changed their tune after they heard how annoyed I was. . Poor customer service.
