Hamilton Beach Can Opener Model# 76700

My several years old Hamilton Beach electric can opener just died after MANY happy grand openings! I found the exact same model on sale $10.00 OFF on the Walmart website! I visited the nearest store from me but they had no stock. I ordered the can opener and some Dog treats to to get the FREE delivery deal on the Walmart website and I was promised a delivery for two days later! This morning my doorbell rang and there was my Walmart delivery parcel Safe and Sound on my porch! The Dog LOVES her treats and I LOVE my new electric can opener! THANKS Walmart! Now I'm looking forward to opening some food can next and I had no difficulty to insert the cutting handle into the opener base unit! I had MORE difficulty getting the cord out of the hole on the bottom back of the unit! But I got it!

This electric can opener has been an absolute lifesaver! I've always struggled with manual can openers and have broken at least 3 or 4 in the past. I'm very happy with this can opener. The sleek design is perfect and great for both short and tall cans. Plus, it's quiet and easy to clean. I am very happy and surprised that when I open a can, the edges of lids are not as sharp as most can openers I've had. Plus, the knife sharpener in the back works great! I like the sleek and slim design of the electric can opener. It doesn't take up much counter space and looks nice sitting out. It also has an opening in the back to hide the cord in! It's a little tricky trying to get the can locked in just right, but once you do everything works great! It's quick and easy to use. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

We've really tried to like this can opener but it can be so challenging to attach a can. Now, less than a year later, it is skipping as it perforates the can. tlTime to look for a different one.

This comes in separate parts ...impossible to put together...but, because I am a shut-in . impossible to get out to return it ...so...it's going to one of the charities in town ...hope one of them is able to put it together. In the meantime, I'm back to using my smaller one which does not fit large cans . I cannot send a picture, as I do NOT have a camera able to do that (at 91, I am old fashioned )

It comes in 2 separate pieces (as do all electric can openers, impossible to put together ..maybe a pro can do it, but a normal (I hope) lady can't

Can keeps falling off without cutting. Not practical.

The power piece won't stay locked in and I can't even get the full cord out of the slot. I'm returning it, unused.
