Hamilton Beach Classic Chrome 4 Slice Toaster, Model 24790

We looked at quite a few 4 slice toasters and were a bit hesitant to spend the extra $$'s on this model. My advice...spend a few extra bucks and buy THIS model. It has lots of features, is built very solid and should last for years. I especially liked the feature where, once your toast is done, you can lift the handle up to raise the toast some more and remove. No more burnt fingers or trying to "fish" it out with a fork ( VERY DANGEROUS).... FIVE stars.

Love this product. Had my first one since 2004 and just purchased my second one 2020. The only reason I had to purchase a second one was because someone broke the first one by not using it correctly. Very well made product will last for ever if using correctly.

I ordered this toaster on the internet just recently, and I was extremely happy with the quick delivery of the toaster to my local Walmart store for pick-up. I make a lot of different kinds of breads at home, and I have been looking for a toaster that could handle the larger than average sized slices, and also a toaster that would be efficient and deliver the exact toasting results that I was looking to get. This new Hamilton Beach (4) slice chromed toaster fir the bill exactly. I have been totally satisfied with the looks, the operation, and the finished product coming from this toaster! I sort of wanted a Cuisinart, but it cost much more, and I do not think the Cuisinart could deliver toast that was any better in quality. It will do a variety of toasts, including bagels. I really like this toaster!

Great features, it toasts beautifully.. cord winds up on bottom so you can adjust length and not have excess cord on counter, heavy enough to stay in place, this does "work and feel" like an old classic, but with all the modern features. With my former toaster/plastic..light weight, if you moved the cord-you moved the toaster. This is such an improvement!

I love this toaster! It handles a bagel like a pro, they come out perfect. Toast is even, and the adjustments make it do what you want it to. I really needed the 4 slice toaster, and it's just wonderful to be able to make anything, two at a time again. The reheat and defrost features sure do help, especially since freezing bagels is almost a must here. Only 2 shopping days a month. This toaster works really well, and I'm very happy I chose the Hamilton Beach Classic Chrome 4-Slice Toaster.

I love my new toaster. It browns evenly and browns according to my settings. I'm really glad I bought this toaster. Walmart had the best price of any others including the web. I did an extensive search and Walmart was priced lower than any of the others. Thank you Walmart for a speedy delivery. This was a birthday gift to myself. I am very pleased.

As with most things today this toaster is made in China. Wife wanted a basic toaster that was styled like the old fashoned chrome plated toasters of the past. This model has several push button settings and a bagel setting along with a variable heat setting which are nice but a little more than we really needed. Compared to my old toaster the heating elements are thinner which may shorten their lifespan and the housing seems to be made of a thinner gauge metal than my old toaster. Only time will tell how long this one will last. This toaster seems to work well but like all new appliances takes a little getting used to.

It's a very nice looking toaster which is one of the reasons we purchased it. Unfortunately I have returned it to Walmart due to our dissatisfaction on toasting an english muffin or small bagel. It doesn't pop up high enough and you have to use a knife or burn your fingers trying to remove the muffin or bagel. We just purchased a four slice toaster, Farberware for a few dollars more and am satisfied. It lets you push up the handles so one can remove the item without burning your fingers.

very disappointed....the left side doesn't work unless you hold it down....then this morning the right edge where the sides come together split open and separated about a 1/4 inch from back to front. I have only had this toaster a week!!!! I threw the box away but I'm still going to complain to Hamilton Beach and get a replacement or a refund!!!!

This is the worst toaster I've ever used. Using normal white bread, set on medium, one side of the toast was burnt while the other side was just warmed. The burnt side wasn't even burnt evenly. It blackend the toast in vertical stripes. This was the case on both sides of the unit and it was worse when attempting to toast a bagel. I promptly returned this toaster and bought another more expensive brand, which does the job.
