Hamilton Beach Contemporary 2 Slice Toaster with Wide Slots, Bagel Function, Toast Boost, Auto Shutoff, Steel Blue

I’m guessing I’m out of touch with what’s going on in the world but I remember when you could buy a toaster for $10/12 . This toaster was the least expensive one I could find. I like it’s compact size, that it has a cancel button and a bangle setting.

My old toaster was finished. I bought this one because it advertised all the features I was looking for. Will toast bagels as well as bread. It has a cancel button and has extra lift for shorter bread. It also has a darkness control knob. So far, I am happy with the purchase and would recommend for someone who does not need multiple daily toast.

I have toasted bagels, poptarts, and english muffins every day since I purchased it, with no problem. Before buying this product, I read all the comments by those who purchased the small plastic toaster that comes in colors but the plastic on the top melts when the toaster gets hot. Always buy a stainless steel top like this particular one. This toaster performs as it should. The round knob controls the temperature and will pop-up when ready. The bottom opens up for cleaning crumbs. The instruction booklet that is packed with the product (yes I read it 🤪) suggests to unplug when not in use. That's exactly what I do. The cord is short and I don't have issue with that because almost every kitchen countertop has at least one convenient outlet—I have two. The toaster is a compact size so it's perfect, exactly as shown, and at a great price. I do recommend it.

toaster is really nice, easy to use, has several settings on side from very light to darker brown toasted bread. does have a cancel button i discovered on side by controls. cancel it pops up, so can be checked. can toast bread or wide for bagels. really nice and inexpensive. well worth price.

it matches my stainless steel and black appliances, plus it is easy to clean out the crumbs and food debris with the tray underneath. My last toaster had a burned toast smell because it was solid on the underside and impossible to reach the bread crumbs seeds and oats from multigrain bread that dropped down into the slots and turned to charred, smelly crumbs. This toaster smells just like toast is supposed to and doesn't stink up my kitchen when my spouse uses it for his toasted snacks

Hamilton Beach usually makes agood appliances, I bought the space saver Drip coffee maker which is lovely, this toaster is basic, and seems to do what its made for. The only thing else to know is tht becareful because the top outer surface get really super hot, let it cool before putting it away and definitely keep an eye when kids use it. I wouldnt recommend letting younger kiddos use it unsupervised THE TOP SURFACE GETS HOT🔥. And will burn you, The only plus to that is itll keep your toast warm nd butter melted afterwards

Very basic toaster. The slots are a bit short and part of the bread is often sticking out of the toaster. Toasters aren’t made the way they once were. . The toast boost is nice and the ability to set a toast level is Convenient. My main concern is it is very flimsy and I don’t think it’s going to last very long. I understand the need for a shorter electrical cord for safety, but this one is simply too short.

A basic minimal toaster, feels small and cheap but may last. The cord is awkwardly located at the side front. The toaster lever does not have raise function so you can't boost the toast up and have to dig down for it a bit, which isn't great. The whole thing is on the small side, but it works.

I would give this toaster 0 stars if I could expect it somewhat toasts the bread. Can’t lift the handle to push the toast up to grab. The same number will give different toast results. The toast is always burnt on one side and not toasted on the other. Please buy any other toaster

This looked like a nice simple toaster. Maybe the one I received was defective. It literally caught on fire. I put it on the lowest setting, yet still Had to stand next to it and watch so it wouldn’t burn what I was toasting. After it caught on fire, I threw it away.
