Hamilton Beach Cool-Touch Digital Electric Kettle, Tea & Water Kettle, 1.7L, Black

Pros: Nice looking kettle; very light weight; cool to the touch; quiet when boiling; easy to pour Cons: Kettle at first boiled to the 212 degree mark but after about 4 uses, it will only boil to 208-209 degrees now. I checked the water temp with a kitchen thermometer and it registered 209. In addition, the kettle rocks quite a bit on the base, which seems very unsafe. It does this rocking with minimal water and with more water in the kettle. The base is the same size of the base of the kettle. The kettle also disperses a lot of steam when boiling, much more than my previous kettle, which also makes it a bit unsafe. I also miss having a window on the outside of the kettle to show water level and a lid that is removable. This lid is not removable. I ended up returning the kettle, especially at this price.

Easy to use, heats quickly, and really like the heat options. Very convenient. We bought this after using my daughter's on a visit to Minnesota.

I love how sleek and modern it looks., that it doesn't get hot om the outside, and that it has a digital setting i cam adjust depending on my drink of choice. Much better than the tea kettle I was using previously!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great kettle! Very sleek design. The digital temperature gauge makes it easy to see how warm your water is. Heats very quickly and keeps the water warm once it hits the temperature you want. Easy to use. Lots of different temperature options. Haven't had to clean it yet, so can't speak to that, hopefully it's easy and the kettle won't get stained with watermarks.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really love this Kettle. Looks great on the counter along with my other small appliances. The display lit up when I put it on the base and was easy to read. Now I will be able to choose just the right temperature I prefer. I filled the kettle with 8 cups of water and it boiled (to 212 degrees) in a little more than 7 mins 30 secs (is a bit loud) then turn itself to keep warm mode for 30 mins. I live in Texas, water is a bit on the "hard" side, cleaning with vinegar works great. I poured about 1/4 cup inside, let stand for a few minutes, swirled around a bit, rinsed with water. Feels to be made well and should last awhile. This is one of the best kettles I've used. I would recommend this product.

We used to microwave water to make tea or use my kuerig. This is so much better. Especially when the whole house came down with the flu! Instead of taking forever to heat multiple cups, i made a whole pot at a time. Recommend this product to everyone!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have never owned this type of electric kettle. It was very sleek and beautiful stainless steel with a long electrical cord. It was very efficient in heating up my water. I loved the different modes available for heating up different types of hot products. I used the kettle in the keep warm and it worked really very well to keep my product at the optimum temperature. It was very easy to keep clean, operate and store. I wish it was smaller in size so it could be more portable.

It is cool to the touch and I don't have to worry about one of them getting burnt. Makes a perfect cup of tea every time and keeps it nice and hot. I highly recommend this kettle! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a really nice product. It heats up water very quickly- 1-2 minutes, and if you are a tea drinker, this is for you. There are settings for different teas - green, white, oolong, and black, as well as for French roast and boil; just press the mode button. The kettle is cool to the touch. It looks good -very sleek and modern- too! I would have given it 5 stars but there is no water window. Inside the kettle there is a line for maximum water depth, but there are no other lines for how much water to put in for just a cup or two.
