OK, so I just got this microwave after returning another one that actually overheated that I had bought for $58.00.. So I'm hoping this one last like I just got it and plugged it in and took everything off it and set it up and actually cooked me a meal in it the first four minutes of the meal and then one and a half minutes and it seems to work good, has a little bit of a noise, but I am not too worried about that .. it's nothing concerning to me.. not yet.. but I am gonna hold onto my box for the next couple weeks.. just in case something happens.. but I don't think it will.. I guess for me I'm just a little bit nervous because of my previous experience with the $58 one overheating immediately so I'm just a little cautious But there's been some great reviews on this one and this is the reason why I purchased this one .. hoping and praying I have the same experience at other others do with this microwave.. I've been without one for a week and a half almost 2 weeks and it's been driving me nuts, even though I bought an air fryer… So I'm gonna say go ahead and get this -just because a lot of the reviews are positive and so far even though I've only had it in my possession for 20 minutes. I feel really good about this one… I just had to go on and take pictures because I wasn't able to upload a video of this
This microwave is the perfect size for my countertop. It's a nice and appealing stainless steel microwave that would look great in any kitchen. However, I don't like the lock door feature. My food doesn't overheat in this microwave, and it fits tall cups.
This unit replaces my previous Hamilton Beach 700 W unit that was purchased by a former roommate in late 2017, and broke in February 2026. It is both larger and more powerful, but is otherwise identical in operation, save for that the new one can be set to 24 hour time on the clock, which the old one could not. I specifically wanted a model without a push-button door, and this was the most affordable one on the market at the time of my purchase. Now that I've lived with it for a couple of weeks, I can say that I am 100% satisfied, and I was absolutely recommend this model to anyone in need of a good, basic microwave oven.
This is a nice size microwave and it is easy to use the only problem I saw was it was bent on the right side after taking out of the box which was packaged very well. I am disabled so I can't take back to store 😩. I have a extended warranty just in case there is a problem in future.
The oven works quite well, I like the rotating feature to make the cooking even. The express time features work the way they are supposed to and it fits nicely on my countertop. It would have been nice to have the delayed time programming feature like my old oven, but you can't have everything.
My other brand, higher watt, bigger microwave became noisy at 10 years. Hamilton Beach is decades older company and reliable brand is why I chose. So far works well and easy to use! I leave it at 10 comes on full power, 900 watt. The unloc is easy to do/clear instructions in booklet and on sticker on front door. I made a small pot pie 4 1/2 minutes, browned crust. Yum! Heats great! Many feature buttons for your cooking/thaw needs. It is sturdy, well made and awesome black/shiny silver trim. The cord is short but is ok(instructions say)to use/power strip into grounded 3 prong outlet. I only plug in 1 into extension strip, microwave. Safety concious.
This microwave is the perfect size for a countertop without taking up too much space. It heats food evenly, is easy to use, and has all the basic settings you need. The design is clean and modern, and it works quietly. Great quality for the price and ideal for an apartment, office, or small kitchen. I would definitely recommend it.
ordered from walmart.com for elder parent. deliverer did not follow requested instructions. came with broken piece (turn about rack). attempted to get replacement part from walmart.com but being told to return the product (parent is not strong enough to lift/ move product). called manufacturer and customer service said we'd need to buy a replacement part for the newly purchased microwave. elder parent is stuck with non-usable appliance.
This review is for Hamilton microwave. This should be pulled off the shelves. Mine overheats after three minutes. A very loud buzzing noise happens. I could only cook in three minute intervals. Maybe I got a bad one. I haven't even had it long under a month. I think it's a hazard. Disappointed.
I purchased this microwave and it lasted only 2 months. The keypad quit working and would show rectangular shaped dashes. I had purchased the protection plan along with the microwave. I tried to get another one and was told I would have to contact Hamilton Beach since it was still under their warranty. I contacted them and they said they didn't make it that Galantz did and I would have to contact them. I did and it has been a month and no microwave or refund to replace it. :(
