Hamilton Beach Custom Grind Electric Coffee Grinder, 14 Cups, Black

This little gadget is great- easy, straightforward operation with just enough features to satisfy requirements without making things fussy. I especially appreciate the one-button feature- set the desired grind characteristics, press a button, and it does its thing. Also, not very loud as these things go, so that's another plus.

This works as advertised. Select 3 different grind options. select cup size and the grinder makers a very accurate grind of the coffee. Seems well made. Love that the container is removable for cleaning and removing contents. Nice storage for the cord. Does 14 cups equivalent of beans at one time. powerful enough for the job and not overly loud when running

It is small, looks good, the grind is excellent, the grind selector actually works!, and it is QUIET. It replaced a Cuisinart grinder that was INSANELY loud and had a totally non-functional grind selector. The measure is great. Using Starbucks french roast beans, one full load = 8 cups of strong coffee. Highly recommend.

This coffee grinder works well once you figure out its idiosyncrasies. It is necessary to gently turn the inner metal cup to the right after inserting; it will not click, but it locks it in place. Then, you have to put the clear lid on correctly, with the printed instructions in the back, and turn it tighter than you think you ought to in order to lock it in place and allow you to start grinding. I like that you just push the start button and release for it to work. I found the coffee was ground finer than I wanted at first, but I was able to adjusted the settings to get a satisfactory result. You can also just interrupt the grind by pressing the power button again. I found that the noise of this grinder was not bad, either.

This grinder works really good. Looks and works well. Gave it 4 stars because its not a burr grinder. way less expensive though. Like 80.00 less than your cheapest burr grinder. It has 3 grind choices. Course, med., and fine. It has a locking lid, which I like. Select the amount up to 12 cups, push a button and it stops by itself when ground. The grinding cup is stainless steel and all you do is give it a half turn to get grounds out.

I have tried a few coffee/spice grinders but Hamilton Beach performs the best. My biggest complaint is the lid cracked the very first time using it as you can see in the photo. This is my 3rd one. The 1st one the spinner gear broke. The second one the lid broke after some uses and the 3rd the lid broke on the first use.

Worked wonderfully for 7.5 months using 2-3 times per week before it completely died. We will try to use the warranty. Metal cup relatively easy to clean and nice design, sad it didn’t last 12 months.

Unfortunately the grinder started to smell like burning and some smoke smelling like burned wires came from it. I had to unplug it right away and open all the windows for the smell to dissipate. Thank God it did not start a fire. I did not have ever have such experience. The unit worked for 2 min and died.

so i got this delivered as a gift for someone (i don’t have a car, i get things delivered all the time). and i get the box, and it’s been clearly opened and the box was damaged, the tape was dirty. so i opened it and was hit in the face with this overwhelming smell of like cumin or something (genuinely my whole apartment smells like it now) and the entire thing is dirty. clearly this has been used, not cleaned, and stuffed back on the shelf. i usually use kroger but they didn’t have coffee grinders, so i did walmart. never again.
