Love Hamilton Beach products. This iron replaced the one I had for 6 years that stopped working. The retractable cord is a plus. Love how the clothes turn out.

Excellent product for my purpose: weekly ironing to remove wrinkles and sharpen creases in laundry items needing special attention after removing from the communal dryer in my senior living facility. May need to reread the Instruction Manual occasionally to better understand the various beeps and meaning of the visual display. Hoping its weight doesn't become an issue anytime in the future.

It glides so nicely across my shirts and leaves them looking like they were professionally pressed. The self cleaning function is amazing. I have never had an iron that will self clean itself. Also, the iron does not leave burn marks as some other irons I have tried in the past did.

I love how the fabric options lights up on both sides when you turn the dial. If this one stops working i would definitely by the same as a replacement. Love it love it!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The iron is very nice looking. Really like the retractable cord. When you push the steam button, lots of steam, more than any other iron I've used. The upright steamer is great for a quick touch up and the extra long cord makes it possible to reach curtains, etc. The only draw back is the weight.

I love this one because of the ease of operating the controls, the steam distribution and the smooth gliding of the iron on the fabric. I can easily adjust the iron settings with one hand even when my hands are tired or sore. The on/off/pause button is very handy and can be seen at a glance to know if the iron is hot. This is a great iron!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Used this heavy, duty iron for my clothing to a casual evening with friends. This has become a permanent appliance for daily use in my home. A particular feature I love is the blinking red light in the center that comes on when you plug the retractable chord to a power source. By pressing the center, power button again the blinking light is a steady red. Theres a round selector button you girate around for the material type of clothing you are ironing such as cotton and silk. The iron heats up rather quickly within seconds. Im amazed at the speed at which the plate warms up. Retractable chord is a good length and this feature allows you to store the iron without dangling the chord or having to tie it. Also, a plus is the steam feature with a large enough compartment to fill with water. The downside is the heaviness of the iron. You must be careful manuevering it to iron for use and pay attention it doesnt topple over. Use on a steady ironing board. Overall, the result is a great press for clothing.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The best part of this iron is the uniquely shaped sole plate. It's bottle nosed leading edge shaped which helps running between dress shirt buttons. Otherwise, there are some odd features that make this a little difficult to use. The filler hose is the smallest opening of any steam iron I've ever used. You need to be very careful or else the water you are pouring will go astray. Also, the on/off switch is in the center of the temperature setting dial and it's very difficult to reach to turn on/off. Because most people unplug the iron when done, it seems redundant to place a power switch where it's difficult to use. And my first two uses with this I've used the extra steam button liberally, and each time the iron leaves small spots of clean water on my shirts. That doesn't happen when power steam button is not used but I hope this water spotting stops with continual use.

It heats quickly and does a superb job of pressing open seams and removing wrinkles from material. The 30 minute shut off is ideal. The iron is hot and ready when needed. I really like the weight of this iron. It is heavier than other irons I have used and the weight ensures a better finish. The iron also does a nice job in pressing clothing. The retractable cord is a plus and is easy to use. I would highly recommend this iron.
