Best iron ever!

Maureen May 31, 2026

I have bought many expensive irons searching for one that as a quilter would flatten my seams. I heard about this iron from Coriandfer quilts YouTube video. She says only one she uses for her sewing. My expensive iron broke last week and I decided to give this a try. What did I have to lose for $29. Omgosh, this iron is amazing in the steam, the heat and it didn't suck up water There is no leaking or water spitting! This is a must buy!!! I have never used an iron that had worked better.

This does not tip over, spew hot water or steam like the Black %26 Decker I got that was more money. This is a nice iron. I can get my fingers close for precision ironing for my quilting and applique. GET THIS ONE!

Makes ironing easier, better results.

Anonymous May 10, 2026

I have had this iron for a short time, but used a lot, so far, I highly recommend it. I have had tried the most expensive irons (specially for people who sew, which I do) to the least expensive. This one I like the best. You get consistent steam to the last bit of water. It's nonstick, log cord, which swivels out of the way. It's med weight, which is good, if too light weight, you don't get a good press. (this is very important when sewing) auto shut off is a great feature. All this and a very good price

I just replaced this same model after years of use and am delighted to return to it because of the quality heat and steam!

Working fine

cdaddy1 November 15, 2013

Our old one was literally falling apart and leaving marks on our clothes. This one is working fine after owning it for about three weeks. I use the iron about 6 days a week. It was surprisingly heavy but that's not a problem for me. Although I would imagine someone with certain physical conditions might be concerned about the weight. The only thing I'm not sure about is the self cleaning option. The instructions say to hold the button down until the water reservoir is empty. It does spit and steam at first but it cools off and stops before the reservoir is empty. Its too early to tell if that self-cleaning feature will help prevent the hard water build up that happened with our old one. Its a huge improvement - almost any iron would have been.

A good product

azCaroline September 3, 2016

I go through irons like paper plates. I've owned several different brands, all of which eventually seem to stop working well or at all. I tried this one because I hadn't used this particular iron product before. I would say it is good, easy to fill, doesn't sputter or leak, and irons my items well. The dial for on/off and temperature is a little hard to turn but that could just be me. I have other Hamilton Beach products which also work very well and last. I also recommend following the instructions on how to fill, storing when not in use and so on.

the iron got the wrinkles out great.. The Iron itself tipped over 5 times ironing a shirt. The cord is too close to the bottom of the iron. I would not buy this iron again unless changes were made to the power cord

This iron heats up well. The steam works well also. This iron has a teflon soleplate. If you use starch, the soleplate gunks up, and you have to clean it every couple of days. Despite cleaning, it does not return to the surface when purchased. DO NOT buy any iron with a teflon soleplate.

The box was pitiful. Mashed, torn, and scotch taped. Iron seems ok but wonder if it was a return. Should never have been sent by Walmart. Disappointed in box.

I bought this iron because it had great reviews, but it did not work for me. It was too bulky and the handle was uncomfortable for my arthritic hands. It also being mostly plastic did not get hot enough for ironing jeans and other heavy fabric. I took it back and ordered the same type I had used for years from Black and Decker , a model made from stainless metal. .As they no longer have that iron in our local store I had to order site to store.I would not reccomend this iron unless you are doing only minimal ironing and have strong hands.
