Hamilton Beach Professional Conical Burr Grinder

This coffee grinder exceeded my expectations. It grinds with ease and is much quieter than my Breville unit. Only minor complaint is that it is taller than most so it sits on the counter rather than in the cupboard like our old one. Coffee grounds will exit the machine with some static but there are methods to effectively deal with that.

How can you review a product after just a few days??We have had this machine and use is daily for 4 years.Maintenance is essential and easy to do.And it still works great.One criticism would be the availability of the grinding mechanism Sometime with fresh beans small twigs get in there and it would be nice to be able to replace the grinder mechanism in lieu of a whole new machine.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Hamilton Beach Professional Conical Burr Digital Coffee Grinder is just what I needed. It brings out the delicious rich flavor. There are 39 grind selections. I use the automatic mode but there is also a manual mode. It does grind up to sixty seconds. I always select the one cup with fine grind. It can grind up to 12 cups in course, fine or medium. The digital control panel display is easy to use. Selections for french press, espresso, drip coffee and more for desired coffee. It does stop automatically when grinding is finished. I do enjoy using this digital grinder and the rich flavor is perfect. I would recommend this coffee grinder.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've never really bought whole beans to grind before. Usually I buy the pre ground coffee. After getting this coffee bean grinder, I went out and bought some beans. I use a normal drip coffee maker, so I grinded the beans at a 20 9n the grinder machine. I only wanted to make 2 cups of coffee, and set the machine to that amount. It grounded the beans perfectly, and gave me the perfect amount for those 2 cups. Very easy to learn and use for those just beginning.

The digital readout takes the guess work out of how much coffee to grind with the choice of cups ,weight or manual grind .Easy markings show desired grind from fine to course with pot recommendations. Comes apart for easy cleaning. Am very pleased with this grinder and would recommend wholeheartedly.

I will say when I first got this I was a little intimidated as I have never used a coffee grinder never mind a conical burr one. There are instructions included which were fairly easy to follow. I put all the pieces together and went out to buy some coffee beans. I am a avid coffee drinker and I spend a lot on K-cups so I was excited to grind and fill my own reusable K-cup. I poured the bag of beans into the top and screwed the plastic cap on. The wheel underneath can be turned to 39 different grind settings. I set mine on 20 which is right in the middle. There is a scale underneath where you can weigh the amount of coffee you grind by ounces or grams or you can select the number of cups. I set mine to one cup, zeroed the scale and tapped the on/off button. This product actually ground the exact amount of coffee to fill my reusable K-Cup! I was actually pretty amazed and the scent was so aromatic. I than brewed my first cup of coffee and I was sold. I am never going to buy boxed, pre-filled K-Cups again! This product can save so much money in the long run, especially if you're anything like me. Overall, I think this is an excellent product once you learn how to use it. Whether you're making a cup of coffee, espresso or cappuccino, this machine can grind the perfect amount at the perfect consistency.

I love having the option of being able to grind them fresh at home because it keeps my coffee fresher for longer. This coffee grinder really has all the option you need. You can set how coarse you want the coffee and how much coffee to grind depending on how much you drink. I really like that it holds coffee at the top so I don't have to refill it every single morning. It was easy to set up and it's easy to use. Its great quality and works like a charm! I will never grind my coffee at the store again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted to use this for awhile before reviewing has my husband and I are daily coffee drinkers and have burnt out many other grinders in the past. It's a big grinder that fits in small paces. The grinder has 39 different settings, we still haven't used all of them yet. But the ones we use most is for drip coffee maker. Setting from 14-26. I've used settings higher for my Sunday French press. And I can't wait to try the espresso setting when my Machine gets here. The coffee is very flavorful. Cleaning can be a chore. It was a bit complicated at 1st to figure out the buttons but once we learned it it became easier, and love the way the scale works. Some of the settings aren't much different ground wise, and I wish there was a closed airtight lid for the ground bean cup for storage to keep the grounds fresh when you have ground to much. Maybe like air tight silicone lids might work for both top and bottom so that they could be stored in the Machine. I would also like for the grinder to have a longer electrical cord . In all though so far so good, and we happy with it. We have a friend that owns a coffee shop and we have recommended this product to her.

Grinds well. Easy to work. The hopper sucks. First one failed. I replaced it. The second failed 8 months later. Now I either replace. Or buy a competitor grinder.
