I JUST LOVE THIS CROCK POT. I AM OVER 83 YRS OF AGE. I DID NOT KNOW COOKING COULD BE SO EASY. JUST FILL THE POT.............NO STIRRING...NO WATCHING IT DOES NOT BOIL OVER. LIKE THEY SAY"JUST SET IT AND FORGET IT!! " W O W !
After searching online for crock pots, this is the only one I found that will allow you to program two different cooking settings, allowing it to cook on high and low settings automatically. I've used it twice now, and it cooks great. Very easy to program. I didn't even need to read the instructions. The locking mechanism is very secure and easy to use as well. I found mine for only $39, which seems like a great price too!
This was a gift to our daughter. She loves it! She said it works great, loves the dual timer/temp settings and really loves the locking lid. Thought about purchasing one for me to but that would give me 3 crockpots, which would be more than what I need. Would recommend to anyone especially those who work and would like the nucleus of their meal cooked when they arrive home.
I've just used it for the first time today. I used the flex cook method and it worked exactly as I had hoped. Only thing to be aware of is that the lid does not fit securely. It did not seem to affect the recipe though. The clasps for fastening the lid are to be used only for travel not during cooking.
I USED MY MOMS & LOVED HOW IT SHUT OFF AFTER THE SET TIME BUT KEPT IT AT A WARM TEMP. I USE MY CROCKPOTS FOR PARTIES & IN PLACE OF THE OVEN. IT IS THE JUST THE TWO OF US SO I DON'T USE THE OVEN A WHOLE LOT. IT IS HEALTHIER THIS WAY TOO. TRY IT, YOU WILL LIKE IT TOO. THANKS
The best feature about the slow cooker is the programmable function, easy to work. You don't have to worry about turning it off or keeping time. The large size makes it easy to cook a whole chicken which turned out really well. Clean up was easy either wash by hand or put it in the dishwasher.
It's a reliable slow cooker. I love using a crock pot in the winter for my one pot meals. The only reason I replaced my other one is because after 7 years, it just stopped working. I hope to have this one for at least 10years!
This slow cooker had all the wanted features I desired in a gift for family . Finding time to cook AFTER getting home from work is difficult , but this will ease that strain and dampen the urge to eat foolish choices !
We now have a 5qt and 6qt version of this slow cooker. Both work great and have very flexible cooking features. The only thing that kept me from giving them 5 stars is the fact that in both cases, the lids seem to be slightly undersized. They work, but you have to be careful in centering them properly, or else you will have heat escape. Not a serious problem as long as you are careful.
I bought this as a replacement for my Crock Pot that had a crack in it. I've only used this once, but it worked great. I used the Flex Cook feature, cooked my my roast on high for 2.5 hours, then low for 2.5 hours. Plus, I liked that it shows how long it had been on warm.
