Can steam ten tamales at one time in the basket. Can fit a family of four generous servings of pork chops and rice. First cooker that actually makes a whole meal for our family at a single time. Rice comes out perfectly as long as you cook it with correct water measurements. Now to find out how reliable it is compared to the aroma brand previously had that lasted 15 years of steady use
awesomr nice color works properly
This is a very nice rice cooker But turn out to be really big for us I will have to return it
Great purchase worth the price
Have owned littiest and largest of many brands of these. This unit is very large-which I wanted because it multitasks. Not just for rice but can also fry an egg in this and boil water for pasta or sear meat and make a stew. The beauty is the 2 temp button which goes from hot and flips to warm automatically when pot gets too hot. It also has the steamer basket great to reheat that already cooked rotissiere chicken leftovers not good to do in microwave. However, not a biggie but the glass cover was a tad miniscule too small for this pot which will spit out hot water if too much water is in the bottom for steaming. So I just put it on a cookie sheet on the counter to catch drips. Also, the wire, although short does not get hot in my Belkin surge protector! Really like it and it is as good as the other brands. The 2 temp button is great because the electric in my apartment fluctuates and that can cause electric temperature controls to burn out or not work right and this issue does not happen with this 2 temp button!
Good all around cooking device.
The product works as expected and there are no issues. Just the build quality can be improved.
i have had 2 so far....they keep breaking down...I will get a 3rd....but if it breaks down again, I will never buy another
This thing is so big that it dwarfs my 8 qt Instant Pot and my 6 qt Crock Pot. I don't know what I was thinking. It's big enough to cool a full casserole or loaded soup in here. The problem is: I made 6 cups of uncooked rice and the thing kept popping the lever to Keep Warm instead of Cook as soon as it started boiling. I had the right amount of water. It should have stayed pressed into cooking mode until the rice was fully cooked. More than half the rice grains were uncooked. It took me just over 3 hours to cook the rice. I don't know what is triggering it. I had to wait for it to cool down a bit after stirring about 15 mins each time in order to continue cooking. it would start simmering again, and pop off to keep warm. over and over. I guess you get what you pay for. Cheap rice cookers just aren't what they uaed to be. I'm giving it 2 stars for size and rice paddle. But as for the rest, it loses to a complete zero stars for functioning, ease, etc. Don't waste your money if you plan to cook rice in it. I'm keeping mine only as a "food warmer" for things i.e. bread, vegetables, etc for get togethers, bbqs, etc. I'm going to buy something else to actually make rice.
Hasn't even been a year and this thing died! Used it maybe 10 times.
