Hamilton Beach Toaster Oven | Model# 31411

We've only had it a month, but so far no problems. It's a little deeper than I thought it would be, but it's necessary to accommodate a 12" pizza. We use it almost every day and it works well.

love this toaster oven ; our oven "does" and tho0ugh we shopped for and purchased a new oven, it, we will not be able to "get" this oven for one to three months from now. This toaster oven has been a wonderful substitute. We have made frozen pizza, baked muffins, baked salmon burgers and tilapia using cookware I already owned which fit in the oven plus a 4 piece set of microwave oven cookware I purchased from amazon. I love this new addition to my kitchen.

I researched several toasters and love the way this one toasts and broils food. Size was important since we do not have alot of counter space. The knobs are great for gripping and hopefully the writing for the functions will last a long time. My B/D oven all the writing wore off. Very happy with this oven so far!!

I gave this toaster oven five stars because it is very good for the price. However, if you are willing to spend an additional $50 - $100, you can purchase a higher quality, better designed product. --- I am mostlyhappy with this Hamilton Beach 31411. But I would vastly prefer the absence of the bulging back, designed to accommodate a 12" pizza (which I could live without). That accommodation pushes the unit out an additional 3" or more from the wall, and significantly reduces my limitied counter space.

As far as it functioning as an oven, it's great. It appears to heat things much more evenly/thoroughly than our last one. There's 3 negatives that keep it from being 5 stars. 1. The power cord is ridiculously short. It severely limits where you can place it. 2. The glass door doesn't open the full 90 degrees to lay flat when fully open. It's slightly deceptive and we've already burned ourselves twice in the first couple weeks because you don't realize that it sticks up as high as it does. 3. I'm not a fan of the rounded backside. The number of food items that will take advantage of it isn't nearly enough to justify how far the unit now sticks out from the wall because of it. It also gets insanely hot back there.

Well, I dislike that it can not take a 13 x 9 standard pan, but I had a 10" diameter round baking pan with a grill for inside that has sides almost 2" high and that works fine. The pizza extension on the back enables this large round pan to fit with plenty of room. But anyone wondering, a 13 x 9 WILL NOT FIT this oven. Only 1 inch wider and it would fit. Too bad! I doubt most people have a large round pan like mine and I can not find a 10 x 8 higher sided pan anywhere. Also, unfortunate, my 10 x 8 grill which would go into a bake pan like the one they provide doesn't quite fit. Just 1 inch more would have earned this a 5 star. The baking pan they give nicely fits under the rack they provide, which is nice. It is a bit confusing on exactly how to use the baking pan since the sides are very shallow. Things I tend to broil and bake have sauces so I'd use my own pan so nothing would spill over. If only someone sold a bake pan the same size as the one they give, with higher sides. I looked. No such thing. I have other smaller pans for broiling, which I would use. I doubt I'll put anything straight on the grill in the Hamilton - it would muck it all up and dripping might fall outside the bake pan they give to put under their grill. I'd rather be safe with this than muck it all up. Take note also, stainless steel pans will warp. Aluminum pans will not warp. Take note, this does get very very very hot on the outside. I did like it. I am a huge proponent of toaster ovens and was happy when this product arrived less than a year ago. Not so much since it stopped working entirely today. I've never had what I know to be a quality toaster oven die in 11 months. I guess I need to rethink my definition of quality.

Temperature setting not at all accurate. Goes up to 75 to 100 degrees higher than what it is set at. How do I know this? I use an oven thermometer. People are stating there food is burned. They need to use an oven thermometer. I use the Stay On feature on Bake. Then why even show degree settings? My 12 to 14 year old EuroPro quit working. Company no longer in business. Won' t find another one like it. I refuse to keep adjusting the temperature

Bought in August - used 3 times and completely stopped working. Used the trouble shooting guide but still nothing. Warranty said to call the manufacturer instead of returning to the store. Voice mail said I had to email customer service . Emailed them with all requested information and never heard back.

Do not buy this toaster oven. I know, the price is right and it looks pretty, but you will be disappointed, or at the very least irritated. First, it has a bell on it that sounds like they had a lot of leftover dingers from the 70s, and there is no way around the bell as it dings every time you turn it off. The first time we turned it off the cat was sitting in the kitchen and she jumped straight up 3' at the sound of that bell. If you don't like who you live with, bake cookies in this thing so the bell rings every 7-9 minutes. Second, it is hard to clean and the pans and racks are flimsy. For some reason, you can't just wipe things up in the oven and when you do get it wiped up it is permanently stained. The coating on the baking pan started flaking off after the second washing and the rack is so flimsy it bends easily. Just save yourself the hassle and keep shopping for a different unit.
