This Hamilton Beach toaster replaced a 20-year-old toaster that stopped working; the size, weight, and features are comparable; and it's easier to keep clean than shiny chrome—a simple wipe with a damp cloth. The best feature of this toaster is the double slide-out crumb trays located in the back; to clean just slide out the trays, empty crumbs, wipe off with damp cloth or wash in kitchen sink, dry, and slide back into toaster—so easy. If I could change anything, I would put the trays in the front of toaster, which would provide quick, easy access without having to turn the toaster around to the back (that's how the old toaster was designed). I love the stainless-steel look with the buttons on each side, the deep/wide slots, and easy-to-see controls. And it makes great toast, too! Highly recommend this toaster.

This toaster is exactly what I need to produce crunchy bagels and evenly-browned toast. It is replacing my 15 year old 4-slice Hamilton Beach that I have used daily all that time - and which is still good! My old one just doesn't have the wider slot room to toast bagels.

The extra wide slots are perfect for sliced rolls and thick cut bread etc. I toast evenly on all both sides. Great quality too.

I love that I can fit bread slices for my husband and I at the same time and don't have to wait for the other to be ready. It also has an option for toasting one slice only, which is great! The defrost feature is a must have for us as we usually have frozen waffles or bagels on busy mornings.

This one gives me the option to make toast exactly how I want to. And it does come out perfectly every time. The option to toast a bagel also comes in handy as it is one of my favorites. This toaster is made with quality and it is sturdy.

As do the two crumb trays which slide out the back to clean. Having four slots cuts down on the “wait time” for toast. I also find the defrost button handy for frozen waffles. I have found the wide slots do accommodate anything I needed toasted. So, the toaster looks nice, functions well, and cleans up easily. What more can you ask for in a toaster?

I like that you can change the dial to make your toast or bagel as dark as you want. It's really quick to toast. The quality and value of this toaster is great! I love the one slice feature since sometimes you are not that hungry! Also, the toast boost feature is great for smaller items like English muffins. The features are helpful without being overwhelming. The heat settings are also easy to read and understand. The levers aren't flimsy and will hold up for a long time.
