My daughter is learning how to read and write. This was the perfect toy for her. She loves to put the pieces together to make sentences. The pieces are big enough that it is easy for her to manipulate them. Small enough, that they don't take up too much room.
**I received this item for free in exchange for my honest review** This puzzle set is so awesome! My toddler just turned 3 and has his uppercase letters down, but we're still working on lowercase. This has been such a fun tool in teaching him letter recognition and we can even string the letters together to form words! The pieces aren't super tiny, so I don't worry about choking (always use supervised no matter what!). There are different colors indicating consonant or vowel, and a dot in the lower corner to differentiate between similar looking letters (such as n and u). We'll be using this puzzle for years to come! #bzzagent
It is such a great idea for kids to learn to put words together and aswell as fitting in puzzle pieces. My kids enjoyed and liked the way they can see how words are formed
My 4 year old has master uppercase letter recognition but seemed to enjoy the challenge of identifying lower case letters. I see this as being a great tool as he gets into building words.
These lower case letters are easy to use and the colors are great. My 4 year old uses them to practice her letters.
We loved this product in our house, especially for our kiddo who is learning to spell and use her letters in the correct order. While it's more educational than it is game, it was able to hold her attention for a good amount of time and she had fun trying to put the pieces together. Definitely a recommended buy for anyone helping their kids to learn spelling.
This is a really great learning toy! My son is starting to learn the letters of the alphabet and he has been loving finding different letters and hooking them up to the other pieces and I can't wait to see him start to make words!
I received this product for free to sample. I played around with this for a bit and I think if a child was to use this on their own they would struggle to get all the pieces to fit together. You sometimes have to turn pieces around so they'll all fit and I think that deters from the learning aspect and might make it more frustrating for little children who are trying to learn to read.
Was great but my child is a little older so it was kinda boring for her but makes a great educational product for slightly younger kids still learning the upper and lower case alphabet!
I received a free sample of this toy in exchange for leaving a review. Overall, I found it a pretty underwhelming toy. It consists of interchangeable puzzle pieces printed with lowercase letters. There are six copies of the alphabet, making 156 pieces (157 if you include the box they come in). The toy comes with instructions including suggested activities, which include quizzing younger children about letter identification or spelling out words and asking older children to read them. For pre-literate children, all of these activities require heavy parental involvement.
