Handy Heater, Personal Electric Ceramic Space Heater, 350 Watts

Bought 2 last winter and it works GREAT! One for my bathroom and one for kids room. Warms up small rooms in minutes. I recommend it for small bedroom, office, Bathroom, etc. I’m getting another one for my office. Love it!

I have a moderate-size bathroom (about 7' x 8') and this little heater works great in there. The thermostat also works well. It's plugged into a wall outlet that is fed by a Ground-Fault Current Interrupter (GFCI). The neat thing about this little heater is that it can work with vertical or horizontal outlets. I haven't tested the timer yet. As a Professional Engineer, I'm angry that I didn't invent this heater first. I've been talking about something similar for years. To quote the Romans, "Facta, non verba" (Actions, not words). If I could change anything it would be the yellow light at the bottom of the ceramic element. Some might think the element is burning, but the light remains on even when the thermostat is off. Also, this is slightly larger than photos suggest.

Purchased this heater to use in a small bathroom which always seems to stay cold. It's small size is perfect. I use the bottom plug which leaves the top plug available for use. It heats up the bathroom quickly, is small and out of the way and was just what I needed. I keep it on 65 to 72 degrees, with the fan on low and this keeps my bathroom plenty warm.

The Handy Heater is just that...very handy. But, if you're expecting to heat a large area and get a lot of heat, you will be disappointed. I am only heating an 8 x 12 area, and it does a great job. The first time I plugged it in, it took a few minutes to "burn in" or something. At first I didn't think it was going to work, but then it kicked in and now the area is toasty. I would recommend it for someone who isn't expecting a major heating devise, its just a little guy :)

This item was no where near what I thought it was going to be, with that being said pay close attention to the details. If you are looking for something tiny to plug under your desk @work/home this would be perfect. However if you are looking for something slightly bigger to heat an actual medium/mid-large room this is probably not what you are looking for, unless you just want to MAYBE take the edge off while sitting in front of it. I did not realize it was a wall plug heater. Now I do have it plugged up rt now and I'm sitting in front of it and it really wants to take the chill off of me and it's trying hard to do so. I would recommend this for those who want to warm a small room over a little time (30 or so min.) or continue warmness in a medium room. Not at all a bad buy IF you know what you are buying and if not you can put it to use somewhere you didn't know you needed one, like the bathroom . In the photos I tried to make it so you could compare the size. I bought 2 of these heaters because the ‘about this item’ stated it is perfect & great for bathrooms. The instruction manual reads that this heater is not intended for use in bathrooms & is not intended for use in any ground-fault circuit interrupter (GFCI). False advertising & deceitful reviews about the amount of heat produced.

Box says 400 Watts. Item displays Celsius. Seller listed photo of a 350 watts on a box and a photo of an item displaying Degrees in Fahrenheit. Item received is not as seller description.

The heater works fine. The only thing is I wish someone would have told me that it puts out a humming (vibration) sound when running that travals throughout the wall and can be heard in connecting rooms including the room above if it is a 2 story. The sound is very annoying, especially if you live in a condo or apartment. There is also the fact that you have to plug them into a whole wall socket They don't allow you to use a braker switch extention cord. I bought 4 heaters.

We tried using this in our kitchen, which is only 10 ft x 10 ft. and we have low 7 foot ceilings (basement apartment). We set the heater on 90 degrees and it raised the temp in the room only 2 degrees after 12 hours. From 62 degrees up to 64 degrees. So disappointed. Returned it already.

I thought this was going to work for what I needed it for but it does not do what the commercial says. I had this on for over 2 hours and there was only a change of 2 degrees. This product may only be good for a bathroom area but not the amount of space that is said. I would not recommend this to a friend.
