Good quality as they've been in previous years. I wear as socks under pants but also in the very hot summer I cut off the grey toe area and slide on my arm for perfect sun protection when gardening and hold up under washing. Sure, can buy arm protectors but at 3x's the price and often not washable. Tube socks (no heel) fit all adults, difficult to find in stores any more. Would have liked the option to buy 4 pair but if not an option I'd rather buy this many than not buy any at all.
I'm a woman with a broken ankle. I was given that lovely boot and told to wear a moisture-wicking knee sock. My first thought was a tube sock. I was struggling to find such a thing in the womens dept, so off I went to the men's. I'm wearing 2 (1 pair) socks with the boot, and my foot is very comfy and cool while I heal my ankle. I know this is an unconventional review for the actual purpose of these socks, but if they are ideal for my purpose, I'm assuming they would be great for actual moisture-wicking socks. I do plan on continuing to wear them as actual socks when I'm out of this heavy boot!
The only brand of white ankle socks to get. Especially if you and the spouse wear the same socks. Just remember to wash in cold water and melt some Borax in a cup of hot water to add to the Tide. Helps them stay white without bleach. We wear them until they wear out and then get another pack. They last almost 2 years if you take care of them.
These are my husbands favorite socks to wear with work boots. Two or three of the 12 packs usually cover him for the year. They are lightweight without being too thin and he likes that the height of the sock is taller than his boot so they don't rub on his ankle.
Don't buy these socks! not work durable or padded. They are super thin and they shed black fuzz everywhere all over the place. They make my feet sweat like crazy and feet are super stinky. Ive washed them so many times now. still shedding. No cushion comfort and already falling a part not durable for work shoes at a job that you are on your feet all day. Not made like they used to be. like everything something has changed about the brand and quality
I am very disappointed with this product. These 'double tough' socks are very thin and flimsy. There is no cushioning and they are not very comfortable. Additionally, the size says 6-12, but they are definitely on the larger size. I wear a size 9 shoe and these socks are longer than my feet without being stretched. I would not recommend these socks.
The cotton content has gone down and these are slowly turing into mostly polyester socks. I use to purchase these socks because they were high cotton content, because my sons feet sweat when its mostly a poly blend. Looks like hanes lost a customer. Also, we don’t need more plastic in our clothes, we need to stop the toxicity.
Do not buy. The quality of the material used to make these socks is very cheap. I use to always pick Hanes because of the quality of the materials used. Not anymore. Do not buy. These are the worst socks I’ve ever bought. If I didn’t already throw the packaging away. I would return them.
Bought these because of the "tough durability" description, figuring that would mean they're of average thickness at least. These are among the thinnest and cheapest feeling socks I've ever bought. Worse, they have one sewn seam to keep it around the ankle instead of consistent elastic. They also left tons of lint even after several wears/washes. Not even picky about my socks and have regularly bought Hanes in the past but these are horrible.
I bought these is February. By April almost every sock had at least one hole in the toe. I would not call these durable. The first sock got a hole within 2 weeks. I thought it was our error or one defective item. However, after 4 months and having to toss almost the entire batch, I'm sure this product isn't built to last.
