Hanes Women's Ankle Socks, Cushioned, 10-Pack, Size 5-9

These socks ended up working out great for me but online their specifications are listed as 100%. They are not. 78% cotton, 20% polyester, 1% spandex, 1% nylon.

The Hanes Women's Cushion Comfort Ankle Socks are great to wear in the winter. They are made from a nice cotton rich fabric that helps to keep your feet warm, especially on cold winter days. They also have a plush, full sole cushioned foot bottom which is perfect because I'm on my feet all day at work and this helps prevent the heels of my feet from being uncomfortable and in pain all day. I like purchasing these in packs of all solid black colors, so that they match with every outfit.

They are not 70% cotton and 26% polyester as advertised. The package shows they are 53% polyester and 45% cotton. I was looking specifically for higher cotton content so they would be warmer. The polyester blends tend to have the “cooling effect” which is not ideal in the cold…. Too good to be true. So I suppose the price is right. I just wish they were advertised accurately.

I’ve purchased the same socks in the past and the quality is very different now. They come in a plastic bag instead of connected on a paper package. They are not as soft as before and do not hold shape the same way either. The ankle part gets wrinkled now after washing and they’re not as soft. They look the same but don’t. You can tell the material is different. I’ve been buying Hanes socks for over 20 years exclusively. Won’t be purchasing Hanes socks anymore, the other types I’ve purchased have the same issue. I can see why these are Black Friday special. NOT a special for the consumer. Hanes does have great products, I don’t think this one is one of them. Wearing them for just 1 day my feet was full of the fabric. It just comes apart. I’m worried about washing them because it may come apart more in the washer. It doesn’t hold together. It’s soft inside but all that softness sticks/ melts to the fee, even the stitching is off. The picture is a brand new sock.

Lies!!! These are NOT 100% cotton as described. I used to exclusively buy Hanes because they exclusively used cotton. That is no longer the case apparently. Polyester sucks the joy out of your soul through your feet.

This item advertised as 100% cotton. Material is mostly polyester. Overpriced for fabric blend of polyester, cotton and spandex. Come on Hanes! Do better!

I rarely write reviews but feel compelled to do so after buying these socks that have holes after four months of basic daily use. The socks are comfortable but don’t last long. I’ll be going with a different brand when I soon need to replace these socks.
