Why is it impossible to purchase a package of all white bikini size 5. I specifically ordered from your website because it indicated that I could indeed make such a purchase. However, packages I received were of assorted colors so I am returning both packages.
I have been very disappointed in my recent purchases of Hanes bikini briefs. I have worn this same style number for dozens of years and have always been pleased with fit and quality. Within the last couple of years, can't say exactly when, the sizing and styling have changed. I have bought the same style number twice; I thought the first set might have been missized or slipped through quality control, so I tried again, purchasing directly from the Hanes website. These also did not fit, the sizing much skimpier than the others I own; and the waistband is no longer fabric covered, but just uncovered elastic. I will no longer be buying this style, one I previously counted on.
The first pair out of the package was never even completely sewn together at the waist band. After trying on the second pair and noticing the uncomfortable fit that felt like it was either cut wrong, or the seams were off center with a twisted feeling, we decided to return them. The waist size was fine, but the depth of the crotch seemed twisted and about 2 sizes to small. Hanes use to mean quality, and I really wish they'd consider moving back to the USA so we could buy quality T-shirts and undergarment again, because the people who are making these garments in third world countries now aren't doing a very good job using their hands to measure material to make your clothing.
‘Breathable' must mean very thin fabric. Washed them before wearing and as soon as I put them on there were tears all along the waistband. Threads were not trimmed at the seams. I am very disappointed, I will probably have to throw them all out. Don't waste your money on these.
I have been wearing Hanes size 5 bikinis for over a decade. I like the solid colored, 100% cotton and I like the style with the waistband where the elastic is covered. I could not find this style in 100% cotton and solid colors. So I ordered what seemed to be the next best thing, 100% cotton with exposed elastic waistband. When I lay them against my previous bikinis, there is 2 inches exposed, so that makes the waistband 4" larger than my size previous size 5's. The cotton is thin and the elastic in the waistband is thin and flimsy. I doubt it would withstand too many bouts in the dryer. Not a happy camper.
I've been wearing the same underwear for YEARS. Now they are see-through thin and the leg holes are different sizes. I'm sure the money you save on no longer making a quality product keeps you very comfortable, you ghouls.
I have always worn Hanes and never had any problems until this pack. Three different pairs have come unsewn at the waist band during the first day of wearing them. I am very disappointed in the quality.
Didn't even survive the 1st wash in cold water (totally fell apart), & since i always wash clothes prior to wearing them, I did not even wear these.....that said, the crotch part was ridiculously small on all of them - cannot imagine that they would be comfortable in the least had they survived (sorry if that's too much info, but others need to know before buying)...plus the waste band is not covered, which I prefer...... Hanes does make other mostly cotton underwear (95% cotton) that are far better (they're the cotton stretch and comfortsoft styles), but they were not available when I ordered these. I'd never waste my money on this particular type again since I wound up having to throw them out w/o ever even wearing them. Also, while I do want to warn others, I was not goign to write this review, because the underwear are at least very inexpensive, & I don't like to write negative things.....but Hanes kept bugging me to do so......so here it is.
About two sizes bigger than the L/size 7 that I have bought in hanes bikinis for the past 35 years.
These were the closest match to the Hanes bikinis I needed to replace, so I ordered them. The fit is the same, but the material is VERY thin and scratchy.
