Beautiful But BEWARE
We love this piece so much. It looks great in our home and we have received many compliments. However, we have only had the item two years and it recently nearly missed starting a full blown electrical fire in my home. We only use the item when we are in the room, and on Thanksgiving, it was on and warming our living room when suddenly it started making a loud banging noise and immediately started sparking and smoking. My 6 year old was very close to it, so I am grateful no one was hurt, but it was a very scary situation. We were able to unplug the heater and left it to cool, yet it smoked for about another 10 minutes and the smell was intense . All windows needed to be opened and fans needed to be turned on. Love the way it looks, but I had one of these before that ran smoothly for over 10 years, only changed it out for a different look. There has to be some issue with this system for that to happen and I really hope its not normal.,
