1. Confusing to assemble with just pictures. We had to take things apart and redo a few times in different areas. It took my husband and I approximately 8 hours. 2. All the parts were there and all the holes lined up etc -EXCEPT one bolt did not have the hole bored out to be able to screw it in. The section that needed four bolts only got three. We couldn't even get a wrench to tighten it correctly. 3. The awning and the middle hooks in it were a nightmare to get together! 4. The worst part is that the side rails warped easily as we were assembling (and re-assembling). Therefore, the awning would not roll in the rails correctly. We finally got it to stretch out so we at least have shade, but we cannot retract it. We actually broke some of the track hooks trying to fix it and now it's zip-tied on. While having total shade doesn't bother me THAT much, the unfortunate part is that now when it rains, we can't retract it and the water and leaves etc will just pool on the top. 5. It's fairly light, which made assembling and moving easier, but it also contributed to the easily warped side rails. The structure looks decent, but I am very disappointed that it does not function as it should.
