I have a big foot (women's 11W)--wide in front, "normal" at heel, and it's hard to find shoes/slippers to fit. If I get men's, the heels slip off when I walk. If I can find a women's wide, the heels sometimes slip, too. My Dearfoams slippers that I use around the house were falling apart %26 I couldn't find replacement in my size right now, so looked at other options. Again, I needed something large enough... These were ridiculous looking, but it looked like they'd be large enough and my heel couldn't slip out. That part is true. These are so cute, and they are poofy and soft (a very thick foam bottom), but they are terrible--dangerous--as a slipper. These are not meant to walk in at all, not even a little bit. First, the bottom "soles" are some sort of slick, shiny fabric and I slip like mad when walking, especially on a smooth floor. Dangerous! MAYBE that would improve as they scuff, but that's a risk. Second, there is NO structure to this slipper. Nothing holds the foot in place whatsoever. So even my big foot is sliding around inside, and worse, the tops sort of fall out over the edge of the bottom "sole," so the foot rolls off the bottom of the shoe. This makes me start to trip, sometimes feel like I'm going to fall and/or twist an ankle. It feels sort of like walking on a piece of foam with a partially-inflated balloon over it, and nothing holding your foot onto the foam other than the edges of the stretchy balloon. The opening (sort of a "slot") for your foot is so small that there's no way my heel slips out. BUT, it makes it hard to get my foot into the slipper. The slippers are so big, it's like trying to walk in snowshoes--you have to keep your feet a little wider apart than is natural. These are definitely cute, but should only be worn while SITTING. They'd keep your feet warm and cozy while sitting on the sofa watching TV. But they're too dangerous to even get up from the sofa to walk to the restroom.
