I have all of the sets except for the lavendar spectrum. I am highly impressed by the pigmentation of the eye shadows, the colors: the green tones, the bronze/brown & the blues. The color payoff is phenomenal and the price point of $6.00 per palette, which is affordable. I am happy with my purchase.
I can't get over how good this palette is. With the exception of the two lightest, frosty colors (white and pale peach), the shadows are soft, smooth and ultra-pigmented. The bright blues go on like a dream, which is no easy feat for those types of colors. The two light frosty shades are drier, more powdery, and have low color payoff on bare skin. Over eyeshadow primer, they show up better. This is typical of Hard Candy's frosty light shades. The colors wear all day over primer. I did not test longevity without primer. They did not irritate my sensitive eyes. Packaging is a sturdy plastic case with a cute color coordinating studded design. It comes with the typical double-ended sponge applicators.
The smokey shades in this palette are fabulous with my dark brown eyes! To avoid fallout issues, apply sparingly with a high quality natural bristle brush, layering if necessary to desired intensity. I am amazed at the quality - these $6 palettes truly rival Urban Decay. Love!
I bought 2 of these [pinks & blues] to add to my "will you be my bridesmaid boxes". They arrived quickly, but the packaging was crazy. Such a huge box for such a little package! The blue one didn't have tape or anything holding it closed, as if it had been opened already.
I love this set for $5! I am an occasional eye shadow user so I tend to be more of an impulse purchaser. I like how I can test out the different shades of pink without buying 3 or 4 of the regular brands. Very fun and it has a cute lacy top lid for added fun.
You can not go wrong with 10 neutral/nude eye shadow shades for just 6 dollars! I bought the natural and the green envy, and i love both especially since they are so affordable. Of course the quality isn't the best and they can come off a bit chalky, but with a regular primer and base, these colors are the bomb.com! I reach for this whenever i want to do a gold toned eye and i add the Hrd Candys glitter eyeshadow on the inner corners of my eyes. It looks Great!
This is a very good palette for the money. It contains several pretty shades of purple and gray, along with a white highlighter. The very lightest colors have OK color payoff without primer. Most of the palette has very good color payoff. All the colors are even better with primer. With primer, these last all day without a problem. I did not test longevity without primer. This could actually compete with some of the higher end palettes that have come out recently.
I love pinks and purples to bring out the green in my hazel eyes, so I had to get this palette. I am very pleased with it. The lightest shades (the white, silver and palest pink) are a little powdery with OK color payoff, smooth and blendable. The rest of the colors are very nicely pigmented, smooth and blendable. I think these colors would also look great with most eye colors. Without primer, the three lightest shades have OK color payoff and look rather similar. The rest of the shades have very good color payoff without primer. With primer, the whole palette shows up well, and the lighter colors look more distinct. These do not irritate my sensitive eyes. With primer, they last all day without creasing or wearing off. I did not test wear without primer. The compact is sturdy with a cute matching color and black lace design at the bottom. Sponge applicators are the usual for drugstore palettes.
Walmart shipped this item in a plastic bag with NO receipt or packing to protect it. No receipt and the store does not take e-receipts. Eyeshadow was coming out of the bag on arrival.
I ordered this one because I have been trying to find this exact one pictured, but apparently they do not make this one pictured anymore. I was sent a different one and the one in stores is different too. I really want the one pictured because it's my favorite and I have used it for years. But someone needs to take this picture off since it isn't the same one.
