Harman Kardon Onyx Studio 8, Portable stereo Bluetooth speaker

we recently purchased Onyx Studio 8 and are thrilled. We were expecting a well-made and nice sounding speaker, but the mono speaker really surprised us with the sound it produced. It's a pleasure to turn on the speaker every time and hear the sonorous "start" sound with that little bass thump. Speaking of bass: the bass of the almost 4 KG heavy box is very rich! depending on placement, the bass can be perceived well even in adjacent rooms, so that you think that somewhere ne really big party is going on ;) Due to the well portable design, the small sound miracle was already used in all rooms of our apartment. When showering, it drowns out the splashing water (if you want that) or underlines the cooking with powerful sounds. I would also like to have a second speaker to try how the stereo mode sounds, but that will have to wait a bit. For the general garden party, a sit-in with friends or just to listen to music everywhere, a clear buy recommendation!

a great speaker with a good sound. it can easily be carried in the hand. I think it's great that there are different colors. the speaker doesn't take up much space. In general the quality of the device is wonderful.

This is my second HK Onyx. I have had the first one for over a decade and it still works. Just some reverberation with the base sometimes. I love the color and handle on the new one!

This is the sound I was looking for! Just amazing! Much better than the famous competitor. Even the bass is fantastic. It helps me with my anxiety and depression, I needed a good quality speaker to properly listen to music.

The device is quite large and heavy for a Bluetooth box - at least compared to the portable bluetooth boxes on the market. However, it is probably more intended for home use and less for outdoors. The handle makes it easy to carry from room to room. The box is quickly connected to the mobile device and the functions can be executed via a few buttons. These are not necessarily self-explanatory - e.g. the earpiece button is also used to skip tracks - but are well explained in a quick guide. The sound is much better compared to smaller (and also cheaper) bluetooth speakers, especially the bass is heard more. The round shape also contributes to the surround sound. Visually, I like the box well and fits well into many interior styles.

I have one at our RV, and am buying another one for our home. Yes.... it's that good!👍

I have now tested this speaker for over a month and Iam really happy with it. At first, the design of the speaker was a bit too futuristic to me. But in the meantime I really like this design and in the right environment it really looks cool. After testing speakers with Alexa and even wlan features, this speaker is really „simple“. It has an Aux Channel and Bluetooth. But it doesn't need more. The Bluetooth connectivity is really good and any device did connect to the speaker. The only thing I miss is the possibility to switch the speaker on when I connect a device. At the moment I have to switch the device on with hand. But now the most important thing - the sound. The sound is really fantastic. It is a full sound, with good bass, but not too loud that it overrides the middle tones. It can get really loud and even than the sound is really good and did not overtune. I bought the speaker for my living room, but with the power to take the speaker with me and play music for 8 hours it really is a dealbreaker. This is not a speaker to take with you every day, but for special occasions I love to have this speaker now.

The box arrived well packaged to me. The connection via Bluetooth was quick and easy, but that should be the standard by now. The design is classic and timeless, but fits almost every modern interior. Practical is also the carrying handle with which you can easily carry the music box to other rooms. Now to the most important the sound is great, the bass is nice and powerful and the battery is very durable. Was last on a move with friends the box ran there the whole day through. From the dimensions amazes the rich sound in the small box. Also the adaptive sound depending on the room is well done. I can give here quite clearly 5 stars, the device does what it should and exceeds my expectations by far in terms of sound and design.

We've had the first iteration of this speaker for nearly a decade. The sound quality is still superb after 10 years of use, it still holds charge for a good couple of hours, it pairs easily with new devices. This speaker is a really solid investment in your long term aural joy.
