Purchased it o February 2019 and started building it as soon as it arrived. It was an easy and quick build. The set helped us have a relaxing saturday evening.
Well, I got a bunch of set at the beginning of 2019 and this one was maybe the less expected to build as I am not into too colourful legos even if I am a huge fan of Harry Potter... However, how wrong I was! This set is fun to build, even if the towers have all the same technique of building, about. The minifigures add to the lot and the playability is awesome (although I only display). But what is most interesting is its potential for display. If you are a big fan of Harry Potter, it blends in perfectly with the environment and even more if you have the Castle (the big one or two little separate one) to add to the scenery. For example, in a bookshelf, you can easilly put it in front of your Harry Potter books as it is slim Lego and modulable. Special thanks to the transparent rod, as from far you really think the minifigure is flying! Would have been nice to have more transparent rods and bases... Best point: price value! Not expensive for 500 pieces and good displayability. Bad point? Well, actually would have been nice to have Drago Malfoy as minifigure that exists separately... So if you can get it, buy it too to add to the set!
Purchased this LEGO set as a present for my girlfriend who is a huge Harry Potter fan. She had never mad expressed any interest in LEGO though which meant i didn't want to spend a huge amount on a set like the Harry Potter Hogwarts castle but thought building something relatively difficult together would be a nice way to spend an evening. She loved the set and it was fun to build together but wasn't really that challenging so will probably go for a couple of other sets now that I know she's a fan. Overall the set looks good and has some great little features but wasn't very difficult or time consuming to complete.
This set is amazing and has all the play features that someone could want. It has great minifigs and a lot of them, and the price to piece is really good. Amazing set, but you have to buy it soon because it is going to retire. Thanks Lego for the great set. Give us more Lego Harry Potter!
A nice set to supplement the Harry Potter Lego experience. This set was very quick and easy to assemble. I think the value comes from the time spent posing and playing with this set. I would like to suspend the characters in flight and create spectator stands with minifigs. Not that fanatical about displaying lego? No problem, this would look great by itself on a desk as a conversation piece and mini game to take a break from work. However, the Hogwarts grounds are not complete without the quidditch pitch. As always, I recommend watching any of the HP movies while assembling for a fantastic experience, perhaps with some pumpkin juice?
When I got to the LEGO store, the Harry Potter sets were sold out, but this was one of only two sets found in the back. I didn't originally plan to purchase this set but I did and it was worth it. One minifigure has an exclusive face, and the rest are just very accurate and are good in the set. The build is strong, the first Quidditch set to have one tower for each of Hogwarts' houses. It's not boring to build this set because each tower is a little bit different from each other. I was concerned that the stickers would cover multiple pieces, but as I built the set, I realized this was untrue. The play features are really cool. It's fun to guard the goals from the quaffle, which a friend can shoot with a stud-shooter. This is overall, a great set.
This was my first ever Lego Harry Potter set, and I got it in 2018. I think that it is really cool. It provides you with lots of colourful pieces, and heaps of 1x2x2s! This set comes with six minifigures: Harry, Hermione, Marcus Flint, Oliver Wood, Lucian Bole and Snape. Each stand has a unique thing about it: Gryffindor's has an opening to let the players onto the pitch, Slytherin Stand has a flame that you can flip up, like in the movie when Hermione sets Snape's robes on fire, Hufflepuff has a scoreboard with all the house crests, along with a place in the back where you can put them. And last, Ravenclaw's has a magical megaphone. You can also put Wood on a clear pole next to the goalposts and swing him around. I like the Snitch element. Harry, Hermione and Bole's face twist around to show scared faces, Snape's shows an angry face, and Wood and Marcus don't have alternate expressions. There is enough space in each of the stands for one person to sit. Hermione and Snape both have wands, but the Quidditch players don't. The set also comes with three goalposts, and a sandy area beneath. One thing that would have made the set better is if there were an extra 3 goalposts, to put on the other side of the stadium. Other than that, the set is really good! By KiwiLegoFan.
I love the new Harry Potter sets overall, and this one is no different. The play features are cool and the 4 house towers look nice. However, I feel like Lego missed a huge opportunity. This is the 3rd Quidditch set created, and once again we only get Gryffindor and Slytherin players - why?! We get the 4 house towers which is cool, but no Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw players. If those were included I would have easily purchased 3-7 of this same set to make teams - instead, I get more Gryffindor and Slytherin players to add to my collection. Disappointed that this was somehow not thought of/not taken into account. Even a second set with Cho Chang/Roger Davies vs Cedric/Zacharias Smith would have been amazing. I am happy the 4 house towers were included, but EXTREMELY disappointed that we are stuck with the same 2 houses for quidditch uniforms... =(
This set is probably all kids favorite set; it's amazing for play. However, it doesn't look very like other Harry Potter sets. It doesn't look as nice and is too colourful. In the movies, you can clearly see that the colours are dim and realistic on the stands, not bright and flashy. The functions are great and really allows you to recreate games/matches. If you're into play, the set is for you. If you're into display, I'd give it the skip, unless, like me, you're collecting them all.
This arrived on time ,but the package was partially smashed in. When I took the gift out of the package the box surrounding that was smashed in. I have not opened the gift so I dont know if it is useable or not..
