OMG this is the COOLEST gift ever. My grandson loooves Harry Potter and will flip over this. I am so impressed with the quality of the leather—soft, supple and smells good too. It is embossed on the front AND back and it has a stone inlay. The metal vintage swing arm lock looks uber-authentic! And the fabric journal pages are antiqued/distressed to look old and worn. It's not refillable but that just adds to the “authenticity”. Now he can doodle and record all his favorite spells!

I am getting this for my 33yo granddaughter who is a HUGE Harry Potter fan! She has been wanting one of the eclectic junk journals with the medieval look and vintage pages … so to have EXACTLY what she wanted in a Harry Potter theme to boot makes me feel like I've found the best gift for her ever! one of the main reasons I got the item was because it was supposed to have the golden snitch on the front is like a jewel but is just gone it's not even there I don't know if it's missing or forgot to put it on or what but it looks horrible
