I picked these up for fairly cheap and they were honestly were worth full price if I had known how useful they were sooner great for splitting wood splitting masonry blocks chipping grout or access glue on any hard surfaces you name it

Best beater chisel ever
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This thing is a tank. I pounded out about 2 dozen 2" mortises in treated 4x4's before I had to give it a quick touch up sharpening, and I was back at it for a dozen more. My arms gave out before this chisel did.

Sturdy and hefty
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this chisel for a good while now. Holds strong and I use it for everything. Great tool to have in you inventory. Hold edge pretty well and I believe it's construction grade! Excellent all around!

Useful and durable
Very solid and heavy in a good way. Super durable and very useful. Seems like it will take a beating for a long time. A tool that will get lots of use and will be a great value considering the price.

Wood Chisel built to last a lifetime.
So, Hart gives quality materials in all they manufacture, but their engineering needs feedback. Take this chisel as a prime example; it's made of thick steel, but someone thought it clever to put an eye-hole at the striking end. This nice idea, represents a weak spot and an opportunity for failure to occur. Yes, you can grind the remaider down (if it breaks) and have no hole, but this is what I mean, by them over designing some of their tools.

one heavy chisel
i bought this wanting a nice solid chisel for my tool bag. when it arrived I couldnt believe how heavy it was. good solid chisel but a bit too heavy to carry around in my bag with my other tools...
