Bad news and good news. Bad news first: I could not for the life of me loosen this after removing it from the packaging. My husband managed to push the blue lever to loosen it. It took a lot of hand strength that not everyone has. The good news: once loosened, I used it to remove the hose stuck to my outdoor spigot, which was a big victory and made this purchase 100% worth it.

I was surprised at how heavy the construction was on these vice grips. I do not use these every day but when I need a set I need them to work. These are a good value. I would reccomend these to anyone needing vice grips.

Bite And Grip
While replacing an oil filter on an older KIA van. After trying everything from Walmart but kitchen sink. That darn cap was stuck on there good. Nothing I had was getting a solid grip and kept slipping. So I bought a pair of these. To my surprise they had the strength and bite to lock on enough to loosen it off.

Strong and well built.
These locking pliers are strong and grip well. They are easy to use and release. The teeth are sharp and grab pipes and nuts well.

Product doesn't catch in lock as tight as some I have experienced in the past for my immediate use but should be fine for future projects
