HART 16-Foot Autolock Tape Measure, Fraction Markings

I know a tape measure is easy to use, but have you ever had to measure something more than 8 ft away and you can't get the flimsy tape measure to stay where you need it to measure? This is one of those tape measures that will get the job done without the frustration. It is durable and can withstand drops, but also highly functional so that you don't have to ask a second person to help hold the other end. It locks in place easily and the actual tape is strong and thick. All around great tape measure for the DIY person or contractor.

Everybody needs a tape measure. I like this one a lot for two reasons. One, it's black and white so it stands out. My other one is just silver and kind of blends in to whatever it's around, two, it actually locks. ALL the tape measured I've ever owned barely locked. This one actually locks in place. Numbers are big and East to read, definitely recommend

This is a very high quality measuring tape. Every feature of the Hart 16' measuring tape is made with high quality material and very durable. I really like that the tape is locked when pulled out and released with the push of a button. The rubber grips feel great in the hand and the metal clip attachment is very strong. The tape itself is thick and stays straight without bending, which is incredibly helpful when measuring something long. The measurements are clear and very easy to read. Overall, this is my new favorite measuring tape that I will always carry with me. I am incredibly happy with this product and I highly recommend it!

This is a great product. This tape measure is 16 feet in length. Markings on the tape are bright and clear. It also has fraction markings for quick and accurate reads. One needs to press the inch tape out manually and then the automatic blade lock holds blade out until the retraction button is pressed. Once the button is pressed the inch tape goes back inside very quickly. It stays firm and the hook in the corner really helps to keep it intact. It has a limited lifetime warranty. This is the best addition to the tool kit.

Well made, it is strong and it helps me a lot since math is not my thingy when measuring for my projects in my house. This item will last me a long time.

Tape measure is absolutely perfect. Very sturdy and durable. 16ft is perfect for around the house projects. Best feature is the auto-locking feature when extending the tape measure out. Retracts back in very smoothly.

Best tape measure I've had in a long time. Very sturdy construction. Great quality. Easy for one person to use. When you lock it in place, it is very secure.

Let me just say, getting this tape measure out of it's packaging was a bit of a pain. The side clip holding it in place was not easy to manipulate. That said, it is a nice tape measure. It feels good in the hand. It locks automatically as the tape is pulled out and retracts with the press of a button. The numbers are large and easy to read. It also includes fraction markings, which is really a nice feature! The big miss for me is that it does not have metric measurements, which is why I couldn't give this 5 stars. There is certainly room for metric, even on the back of the tape, if need be. Because of this, I will have to keep around another tape measure with metric measurements. I recommend if you don't have a need for metric.

This tape measure is 16 feet in length. It has a limited lifetime warranty. When I pull the tape out it instantly stays put. They call that feature an auto lock. I was quite impressed with that feature. This tape measure also has fraction markings. This tape measure has eighths, fourths, and half inch marks on it. The fraction measurements are very easy to see, even for my eyes. That feature is definitely a plus for me. The tape measure also has a blue button that you push when you are done measuring, and the tape just rolls itself back into the casing. Once I did accidentally have my finger in the way when the tape was rolling back inside and it gave me a little scare because it rolls back rather fast, but no harm done. I wished I could control the speed at which it rolls back inside the casing though. My husband loves that the measuring tape has a clip on it so that he can clip it onto his waistband or belt. The end of the tape measure is larger than I am used to seeing. I discovered it is for gripping onto the edge of the item I am measuring. That was genius, because so many times in the past with other tape measures they just slip off the item I am measuring by myself. This is a very nice tape measure.
