I didn't think I would actually didn't think I would use this bar, but it is nice to have around. I figured I would use it for coins and Nails out of the walls before spackling in my basement, I did do that then I ended up actually looking for it quite a few times during the day, it's a great size and has a good weight to it and it's great for getting into small areas and pulling Nails out of places where you can't get a hammer. Of course it's much smaller then a small demolition bar which is what's nice about it, it's much more versatile than just a regular pry bar. To me , it's one of those tools that you never needed untill you have it then you always need it.
This Hart molding bar is a great tool to have in your tool box . Perfect size 10” , nice strike zone . Fits comforts in hand to accomplish any task . I just used it this weekend when replacing my wood basement doors . This tool made it easy to pry off the old wood pieces that I needed to replace . The striking zone worked out nicely for corners that were close to the foundation of the house allowing accuracy as not to damage the foundation . Highly recommend this tool .
I wanted this molding bar to remove some trim in the house. I received the bar and realized, I can do a lot more than just remove trim with it. It feels comfortable and solid in my hand. I am someone who likes to do some remodeling myself and this bar is not to big or heavy for me to handle. This is not a cheap tool. I removed the trim very easily, just slide the bar down beside it and give a little tap and starts pulling loose right away. I have also removed nails and screws with it and used it as a pry bar. I have yet to be disappointed in it.
I received this product in order to provide an honest review. The product is durable metal material and the packaging states it has a lifetime warranty on it. It has a design on the side of it to show you can use the side to hammer in nails. It's a lot smaller than a normal pry bar so it doesn't indent or damage the walls While using. Over all I'm very pleased with this product and will have lots of use for it, especially since it fits great in my tool box.
We are in the process of remodeling our kitchen and this tool has been very useful. We have used it to take paneling nails out of the wood panels and also larger nails out of studs and woodwork. It is also useful for getting the paneling pried off the studs and removing baseboard and other molding. The handle is molded to provide a secure non slip grip. There are no sharp edges to irritate your hand. I like the texture of the handle. This tool is 10 inches long and can get into tight areas. It is a good weight and my arm and hand do not tire easily when removing a lot of nails. Whether you need to pry off something or remove different size nails this is a good tool to have in your toolbox. I am impressed with the finish. It is fully forged and I expect it last a long time. It also comes with a limited lifetime warranty! If you need an idea for a gift for someone, I think they almost any one would appreciate this useful tool!
Even though this tool is labeled as a 10-inch Molding Bar, I would call it a small heavy duty pry bar with a really nice grip. Here's why: I needed to replace my kid's bedroom baseboards and I used this HART Molding Bar to pry them off the walls. It was a pretty simply process, because the flat pry area is thin, smooth but really tough. It would easily slide behind the baseboards and I could start pulling them away from the wall with little effort. Best of all, it left no dents on the drywall for me to patch later. I then had to put this tool really to the test. So I nailed a 1”, 2” and a 3” nail onto a 4x4 laying around in my shop using this Molding Bar's designated Strike Zone and I got the nails flush to the 4x4. Then I proceeded to pull them out by hammering the claw end into the wood and pulled out the nail head about 0.25” and then used the 180-degree side nail puller. All the nails came off nice and easy. The forged grip design is very unusual (compared to traditional pry bars) but it really does give a nice firm grip. I wouldn't try to pull off concrete or any really heavy duty materials with this, but for its small size, it can handle much bigger tasks. And it's nice to know that HART offers a lifetime warranty. This is a very sweet addition to my toolbox.
Nice little tool
Great all in one tool for baseboards. Makes quick work if removing old baseboards. I like the strike zone for hammering and the grip feels well in your hand. Would recommend to anyone replacing their old baseboards or crown molding.
Impressive little tool, and handy as well. The weight is good, light enough to not be hard to lug around, but heavy enough to get the job done. I liked the ergonomics as well, it felt very good in my hand. Combine this with a rubber mallet, (or a hammer) and there's not much you can't tear out with this little gem.
This pry bar is on the small side, so it is definitely not made for "big" jobs. However, it is perfect for small jobs like removing molding and jambs. It will cause damage to the surrounding wall/floor due to the thickness of the tool itself. This would be the perfect tool for furniture repair, etc.. It is too small for larger jobs. As far as pulling nails, they will have to be small nails. You can't get enough leverage to pull larger nails. I have some doubts about the longevity of the tool. A piece of the "claw" chipped off after trying to wedge it under a molding piece and some concrete in the garage. Pro's: Lightweight Fits the hand well.. Con's: Seemed to bend and was brittle on the ends. Head is very thin where you have to contact with hammer. Too small
