I've never used a weed eater before and this product is great. It's lightweight and was easy to use. It worked really well and cut everything with ease. I like that it's cordless and the battery is small, not big and bulky. I used it for about 30 minutes and the battery was still working. I received my order in one day.
This is exactly what I was looking for! It's just as powerful as other cordless electric I've used. True the battery only last like 30 minutes but I got a big area cut before it needed charge. Taller and thicker grass and weeds can be tough but like the instructions say just chop from top down for most stuff. Package arrived very quickly with all items listed ( I just ordered it the day before yesterday). Took about 6 hours to charge to full before 1st use. So to summarize I'm very happy with my purchase, it's definitely passed expectations for such a fair price. I will try to update my review if and when necessary. Thank you Hart and Walmart, I will recommend:)
Lightweight and eay to carry, the main reason i bought it. it does get the job done as well of course. battery life is pretty good as long as you use it for intended purpose, which is light duty edging and trimming, not heavy weed eating. love the fact all of the Hart brand tools have interchangeable batteries. .
Needed a new weed Wacker for the yard. This one was on sale and so I thought I would give it a try. I was not disappointed at all. Very lightweight and easy to use. Some assembly, but nothing hard at all. Very strong motor and cuts well. I have a very large yard and it gets a workout. Battery life is good when using, but I did buy another battery because of the size of the yard. Will buy again for sure.
I was impressed. I am a disabled senior and needed an easy to use trimmer. This one in a light duty unit but gets done what I need. It's light, about 5 pounds, has a single string but still cuts real well. The 20 volt is just enough and lasts a good while, I can only walk for about 10 minutes at a time and it lasts that easily is still charged to go back out later to finish. It takes some time to recharge since it's just a regular charger, but that's just fine. The string advances by just letting off the trigger and you can hear it click when more string comes out, very easy to do. If you're looking for a light duty, easy to use trimmer that won't wear you out using it, get this one.
I like the fact it is very light weight and is easy to use. What I would like to see improved is the cord. It goes really fast. Also the description is a bit misleading. It says it automatically feeds additional line but that only happens when you let off the trigger and you have to do that constantly to keep the line out. If you don't then you end up having to take the spool out and re-thread it. It took a couple of uses but I figured out you need to put a rubber band on the handle to keep that black button down so your hand can keep the trigger going to to keep the line out.
As an elderly woman I like that is lightweight, but I takes strong hand to shove the battery into place, and also into the charger. Was a little hard to assemble, part's didn't want to line up easily. My biggest complaint is that the string will not advance and completely disappears about every 60 seconds, and it has to be taken apart to find the end of the string and run the end out through the little hole.
Only for very light low grass “mowing”. I've owned many weed trimmers from gas powered to corded electrical. This is my first cordless. It worked fine TWICE until grass and weed got caught in an area. It stopped spinning and you cannot take apart like other trimmers. Grass always gets caught in the spinning part from my decades experience. This really is for occasional small area and low grass use. The trim line is pretty short so you're having to sweep back and forth a lot. Glad I kept my corded heavier double string electric one. Will keep looking at other cordless. Or buy a manual standing machete. Too bad. I really liked it until it stopped spinning. A knife couldn't dislodge the grass. And can't unscrew as it uses appliance screw head. I'm a corner house and using corded was a hassle. And I don't trim enough to use gas powered (also banned in my city).
I had bought this Hart 10-inch string trimmer in September 2022. I was using it in late February 2023 (it is now March 2023), and the trimmer head froze up on me. It was still getting a charge, but the spin mechanism would not spin. Eventually it atopped working altogether. When I called the 1-800 number, the girl said I would have to take it to a shop to have it serviced. I am disabled and cannot drive. I asked if Hart/Walmart would send me a post-paid label to ship it back, but I never heard back. Very disapounted with Walmart Hart.
It doesnt work. I charged up the battery and it will barely spin at all. Im returning it. I love my HART drill. The weedeater was a huge disappointment.
