I liked the light weight and handling as i am older and weaker. I like that the battery version is quiet and doesn't require messy polluting gas. I like that the chain tightening is simple and accessible. It is the right size for my pruning and cutting needs .
We use HART items everyday. Love the cordless feature. We have the air compressor, blower and many tools. This chainsaw is going camping with us to use as needed during SXS runs or cutting up some fire wood.
I own several Hart electric powered tools. This chainsaw exceeds my expectations . I am able to cut down branches and small limbs. The saw is small enough for me to handle but big enough for bigger jobs.
this little chainsaw is really light weight and easy to use - it could be improved by having an auto oiling added simply because it is easy to forget we cut up downed limbs and cut down a dead tree a great addition for anyone who has trees thet care for
Works great, been really putting up with some major spring cleanup this year. Well worth the cost even though it doesn't come with a battery. Especially if you already use the Hart line of tools and have 20v batteries. With a large 5mah this saw can run a very long time.
I am new to the chainsaw world and am also a woman in my mid-thirties. I was able to use this with ease. Now this is not for going out to cut down a whole forest but for a small tree trunk this for sure does the job. It is also battery ran so you do not have to deal with the gas tank portion of it.
Works good for smaller trees and doing some general lower limb trimming around my yard. The chain sometimes sticks and you have to take it apart and clean it. Dont pump too much bar oil or it will stall the chain. The debris getting mixed with the bar oil does t cause the sticking, it has something to do with having too much bar oil pumped through. So be cautious when priming. The only other issue is it does leak oil out of the bottom after you fill it before you prime and get it pressurized. Overall it is a good little chainsaw. The issues it has are small and easily remedied by paying attention to what you are doing. The run time is about 3-4 hours of steady nonstop working, cuts great, it's easy to tighten the chain, it's not very heavy and make it easy to cut for longer periods of time, and is quite powerful for being a battery powered saw. I got it in the combo with the pole saw… which works very well too.
absolutely horrible. I will be returning asap. I can't cut through 4-5 inch thick round slabs of mesquite without it stopping an inch in. best for your small branches. complete crap
Broke after using it twice. Did not cut through trees that were well below the advetised 7 inch diameter. It worked well for braches and small trees, but that's it. The chain tensioning mechanism broke, making it completely unusable as the chain can't be tightened. It is made of cheap plastic. The part needed to fix it has been discontinued. Contacted Hart, and they told me to contact Walmart or a hardware store. Will be returning it to the store to get my money back and hope to buy a better one that can get the job done!
Worked fine until the chain bound up and twisted out of alignment. Now the chain will not turn, hence the saw will not cut. One of the guide teeth bent and won't feed through the guide rail. A simple photo will not reveal the detail of the bent guide tooth.
