Never had a battery powered weed eater (trimmer) before. Always used gas or electric (plug in). I used to do some landscaping & maintenance for the state I live in. I really enjoy how easy this is to use & how long the battery last. It's been super easy to use to teach my 14 year who is new to do the yard work with power tools. He can easily plug it in, use eye protection, and do the whole back yard in one single charge. One issue I always had with gas was the vibration on my hands. I have carpal tunnel & that really bothered it. This does not do that at all! No mixing gas or having to run & purchase fuel & oil to mix anymore. So that's good for the environmental too. Would highly recommend

This is my second Hart 20V lawn tool, the first being a rather disappointing mower. While the mower lacked power and run time, this outperformed my expectations on both. In fact, after twenty minutes of near-continuous full-throttle operation (mostly as a test), the battery still retained more than half charge. I was impressed with the power as well, as the trimmer had no trouble whipping through the thickest weeds and grass stems (and they were thick, about 0.25” in diameter). It performed well enough on low speed that I only needed to kick it into high gear out of curiosity. It does have more power in high mode, but I won't be needing it until I let the lawn get way out of hand again. If you're one the fence about battery-powered tools, you can be sure this has more than enough power, and the convenience of batteries is so much better than filthy gas-powered equipment. As for the design and build, it's again done well. Assembly took just a few minutes. The handle is adjustable, with a nice balance point just behind the junction of the two shaft sections. The 20V battery is a good counterbalance to the motor and trimmer head, without being too heavy (my old 80V Kobalt is great, but too heavy for my wife). The lock and trigger are ergonomically placed, and designed for bare OR gloved hands. The line advances easily by bumping the trimmer head on the ground. My only complaint is the trimmer guard is somewhat small, and I learned very quickly that safety goggles are a necessity with this powerful little trimmer. I'm quite impressed with this, and happily recommended it to any homeowner.

I had a 40 V Black %26 Decker before this one, which was shorter %26 this one's longer lighter and much nicer. It doesn't vibrate. It doesn't hurt your hands and it's easy to grip with arthritis. I suggest putting a sling over it so it can be hands-free. There's even a low and high setting. I'd recommend the Hart system to anyone.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this a year ago because it was battery operated. I hate trying to crank on a gas trimmer because my arm gets sore after awhile. This is so easy to use that my 4 year old grandson uses it and loves to help nana. Once you release the button the trimmer stops so it won't hurt him.

I liked the ability to adjust the speed to high or low. As well I was impressed with how sturdy the product was and the head was durable. I have always used gas trimmers but this trimmer did not lack in power.

Its also a lot lighter to carry than expected, which is awesome since i have no arm muscles. Good product for a great price! Will definately be looking at more of their lawn products for future use because my mom has a massive yard.

I got my new HART 20V brushless weed trimmer. I LOVE HART products and have several. (my hope is to get most of all of them one day) HART makes a great product at a reasonable price. I have several products already that are 20V, so same the battery can be used with all. Believe me, that is super nice to have. I keep the batteries charged up and am always ready for any job that comes up. This trimmer is reasonably light (about 6.7 pounds) and is not real heavy. I am a 63 year old female about 115 pounds and I can handle it pretty easily. This trimmer is adjustable from 11” to 13” and covers a lot of grass quickly. It has a bump line feed and is super easy to reload..about a minute or so. It uses .080 line. It easily converts to edger with rotating shaft. It was very easy to put together. SO love the fact that there is no gas or oil to deal with. You can adjust the handle bar to suit your size and comfort. Also glad I don't have to wear myself out trying to start it like I used to with a gas weedeater. I can pretty much trim my whole yard on one charge. Depends on how long in between cuttings that I go. LOVE this great Hart product! I LOVE this trimmer! So easy and quick to get a job done!!

I like the power off the brushless motor but the battery does not last no time
