The HART brand line of tools and power tools is an amazingly well thought out brand with options that rival some of the well known brands. We go t the push mower to see how it compared to our gas powered mower. OMG. There really is NO comparison......other than they both cut grass.:). The HART mower uses a lithium battery that powers the motor.....no gas, no oil, just battery power. Amazingly, the battery has incredible power and this mower can cut grass quiet well. This mower has a 16” cut swath, so obviously, it is for smaller yards. There is a larger mower available if you have a large yard. We just have a normal size yard and this mower handles it very well. Included in the box are 2 20 volt batteries, a mulcher/bagger, and a charger. We were able to charge up the battery within 1 hour and start mowing. OMG. This thing is so quiet you almost cant hear it running, especially compared to gas mowers. You just snap in the battery, push the start button, and off you go. This mower is incredible light and VERY maneuverable. It only weighs 40 pounds. There is a grip handle on the machine to help with carrying and the handle easily collapses for easy storage or transportation. My 12yo son is able to easily mow our yard. While all machinery is dangerous, I have just a little more peace knowing that this mower is so light weight and easy for him to move around. I am so greatly impressed with this mower. We have gone through so many gas machines....I am hopeful that this one will last. It looks like a race car!:). My so loves the design.lol. I cannot say anything about heavy duty mowing, but for a regular yard, this machine does great. You will be amazed and impressed just like we were if you get one of these. The price is comparable to similar gas machines, but pound for pound....this is a great buy. It is part of a large group of tools that use the 20 volt battery system. I think it is amazing that so many tools use the same battery. Very impressed with the mower, very impressed with the brand. Great JOB!
This is the handiest tool to date. I am a 76 year old grandma and responsible for all the gardening, etc. I do have a “lawn man”, but since he only comes every 2 weeks, there is often some very aggressive grass that pops up in between his mowings. This is just perfect for me. I like the way that with a slight adjustment of easy to turn nuts, I can fold down the handles on this and fit it in my limited shed space. This is easy to operate with just a press jof the button. The battery life on one battery is enough for the little bit that I want to cut. I keep the spare battery, “on deck”, just in case. Having 2 batteries charged is so convenient. They don't take very long to charge, but it is just easier having the second one right there for instant changing. I haven't used the bagger yet, but did attach it for my own information so it will go smoothly when I decide to use it. I probably will, once the weather warms up and grass is growing thicker in the spring. I can see where this would be very handy for a small city lot. I wouldn't be able to use it for my yard unless I did a section at a time. I think I would recommend this for those small yards, and especially an older person or even a youngster. Nice addition to the Hart line.
This Hart Hr 16 Push Mower is amazing. I have a front yard that is medium size and but not big enough to deserve having a company charging for the job. This Mower is just the perfect size for the job. It is very easy to use, just charge the battery, connect it and ready to go. The size and weight are one of the best attributes, because is very easy to push, clean and to storage it, also because the handle is foldable to make it smaller. Also I have to admitid that the first time I saw the motor spinning I was impressed, this thing is super powerful. It also has his own bag colector And also can adjust the height depending on the necesites.
I highly recommend all HART products and this 20V 16" push mower did not disappoint! I have a medium sized front yard and this mower is perfect for small to medium yards. It lasted about 40 minutes before I had to switch chargers. It includes a bag which is ideal for quick cleanup and you can also use it as a built in fertilizer for the lawn by using the mulch plug. This mower is extremely light and easy to push and it has comfortable handles which collapse for compact storage. I love HART products because the HART 20V battery is compatible with all HART 20V tools. I absolutely recommend this push mower for small to medium yards.
Great mower for a small yard! I purchased it Friday and used it yesterday for the first time. I did purchase another battery for the next time because with the two batteries that came with mower died before I was done cutting. I saw a 6ah battery by Hart yesterday in Walmart and I was thinking maybe if it came with two of those instead of the two 4ah that would've been better. I love how easy it is to assemble and also how quiet it is compared to other mowers. For my yard I only had to empty the mulch bag once and that was after I was done. It feels good to be able to ditch the yard man and put my son to work! It seems safe enough for kids to use (my son is 17) I will definitely recommend buying but just go ahead and get a third battery when purchasing.
I was surprised that in my Hart 16in. 20v push mower, it also included a 2amp. single charger with 2x-20v 4.0amp batteries also. I had to fix the charger as a pin came bent and the batteries would fit until I fixed it. Mower had to be some what assembled. The 4.0 20v batteries last about 12-14min. each and take about 90-120min. to charge. My smaller lawn only took one battery to get it mowed. I attached the grass catcher, make sure to remove the mulcher. This mower is a bit larger and heavier to push around to my previous smaller 24v mower I had. So I would not say this is a easy light mower to push around, you will get tired after awhile pushing it around, specially if your grass is tall and or thick. It was easy to adjust the grass cutting height by the left side lever. The mower has the 2 stage safety handle switch to make it power on. It also has a dead man switch plug, you pull out and it kills the power, even with battery installed. Even though 20v, this is WAY more power than I thought any 20v mower would ever have, way more than my 24v. lead battery mower ever was. It has adjustable height on the push handle also. I highly recommend it.
I was really optimistic and excited for this mower but when I Used it for my front yard only and battery only lasted 15 minutes I wonder how mamy batteries I will need to mow my Backyard. My front yard is really small but I was surprised how quickly the battery ran out. super bummed out now and thinking of returning this mower now.
I really like the idea that the Hart Mover is small, compact, and electric. It was very easy to get out of the box and put together. I was able to charge both batteries with ease but took a few hours to charge each one. Once ready, it was very easy to put the battery in and get it started. It was very smooth. Now the downside. The batteries don't last as long as it says. (4 hours) not even close. It took both batteries to do just the back yard. Charge for 4 hour (about 2 hrs each) to do the front yard wait another 4 hours so I can mow both the sides. It definitely needs a stronger battery but you can't interchange for the larger 40v.I'll have to buy 4 more batteries so I can cut my yard in 1 day. My yard is a normal double lot, so not that big. Would recommend if you have a yard smaller.
I paid full price for a new lawn mower and waited patiently for it to arrive. To my astonishment, FedEx dropped off a damaged box that was resealed. I opened the box only to find a repackaged lawn mower that was used and abused. I figured I would try to make it work and tried to assemble it - only to find that parts were missing. I chalked it up to an honest mistake and contacted Walmart support via chat. The rep said he was unable to help me and transferred me to another department. 42 minutes later, the second rep said I need to to back to the previous department because he couldn't help me either. But, he couldn't transfer me to that department and I would need to call. I called the number and was put on hold. I hung up after 20 minutes. I just don't trust Walmart anymore and neither should you.
The material that they use is so flimsy that it broke easily, Walmart store will not even take a return
