I LOVE THIS THING....I PUT IT IN A LITTLE FLEA MARKET CART AND PULL IT IN AND STORE THE BATTERY AND CHARGER/SUPPLIES IN IT......I HAVE NEUROLOGICAL ISSUES IN MY HANDS SO I HAVE ISSUES EVEN HOLDING THE TRIGGER VALVE SO I HAVE A BAND ON WAND I SLIDE DOWN TO HOLD IT SO IT SPRAYS SO MY HAND DOES NOT CRAMP. I HAVE MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS.
The battery took about an hour to charge and the battery is supposed to be able to disperse 30 gallons before having to charge again. When I got it out of the box all I had to do was screw hose on the bottle and then screw the wand to the hose. The backpack was already on the bottle, so I took it off since I did not plan on using it. Maybe if you have a huge yard this would be perfect for you, but mine is small. I decided to mix Fish Emulsion and fertilize my plants that I have outside. Put in the gallon of water and then added one tablespoon of Fish Emulsion, slid battery on and off I went. Pressed the start button and pointed the Wand at my plants and pressed the button on the wand. Works great. I did have to change the spray to meet my needs, but that was it. Per instructions, you are supposed to clean out after each use and not store in the container. I did this, but if I did not use all my solution, I decided that you could take the motor off the tub which has the tube and therefore only the tub would have formula in it and you could store that way and nothing would be stopped up. Now I am using the backpack to store in after use. I find that I can take the wand off and stick in the backpack for storage. But remember this is battery operated and you should not use in the rain or leave your sprayer in the weather. I am 67, female and have no issues carrying this around.
It is SOOO nice to not have to pump a sprayer! Ever have to spray the yard and are just exhausted by the time you are done? This backpack sprayer fixed that problem! It's so easy to use and so easy to clean! Best of all it doesn't leak! 10/10 recommend!
The chemical sprayer worked wonders for me. I sprayed my weeds in my yard and in my garden. The sprayer has a wide and even spray when used,, no pumping is required at all because of its adjustable sprayer nozzle. The sprayer have its own measuring cup tp measure your chemical to be used in the sprayer. The holster is removeable if you don't want to use it on your shoulders to carry the chemical sprayer, it would be better if you did , it will help better with the spraying. The battery charger is easy to use, follow the directions for the charger, the battery on the charger will let you know when it is completed. The battery charger is light weight . The chemical sprayer is the BEST and saves a lot of time and gets the job done. I would recommend this product.
Used for about a couple hours now, multiple times over couple weeks. Definitely no pump which is nice spray strength and battery life appear to be as described. Max constant use I have used is for about 30 mins and seemed fine. 2 gallons is right amount of weight on your back, I would think the 4 gallon would be unreasonably heavy. I like everything about it so far. My only thing not liked is the spray power decrease once towards the bottom of the tank and it kind of goes slow then normal, more often slow. However just fill it back up again and you are good to go. Still give 5 stars up to this point and would recommend for sure. Oh and longer warranty period than other similar sprayers which is good.
This Hart 20 volt battery operated backpack sprayer is a lifesaver! As a California state-licensed pest control technician, I service anywhere from 10 to 20 accounts on a daily basis. I have pretty bad tennis elbow, so manually pumping my old backpack sprayer was starting to become a problem. I've used the Hart 20v backpack for a few weeks now, and I love it! The battery lasts me through the day. It's ergonomic, and fits great. My favorite feature is to be able to use it as a backpack OR by hand, for those smaller jobs. I take care of my equipment, so I've already taken the Hart 20-volt apart to clean, and that was extremely easy and only took me 10 minutes. This Hart 20-volt battery fits in all their other tools, so it's convenient if you have any other of their products. I definitely recommend this sprayer.
Brought the sprayer Aug. 2018 worked good for the first couple of months. When starting to use this spring it stopped spraying. Called Hart for the warranty information. Was told to take it an hour and half from the house. Called back and talk with Sandra said she would send a new sprayer. On April 15th called Sandra back to see where the spray would be received. Said we should have it already. Sandra was going to send another spray still do not have a sprayer. It is now May 9 with no sprayer. Not helpful with customer service after the product is sold.
This spring March 2021 I purchased Hart 20V cordless 2 gallon sprayer. During the first use it leaked from connectors all over my back and hand with chemicals I used for garden pests. I put Teflon tape on all connections and resolved the problem. However, after the 3rd use, about an hour and half in total use, the pump stopped working. I used only clean soluble Neem oil, nothing in the pump was plugged up. I returned the pump to Walmart, and bought identical one again. This time I even bought extended 2 year warrantee. To my big surprise, the pump stopped working after only 40 minutes of total use again! The battery was fully charged, the motor hummed, but there was no spraying anymore. Very poor product. I would never recommend it to anyone.
First 3 tanks worked great. Then it completely stopped working. No trouble shooting section in instructions. Fully charged battery again but same problem. Took hose off and was losing prime. After a few seconds it would build up prime again. Then could spray. Had to keep taking hose off after every tank. Buy a different brand.
I work work for Walmart and we have been using these daily to spray the shopping carts with disinfectant between customers. The first 2 we had stopped spraying within a few months. Management got us 2 more and one of those stopped spraying in less than a week. The disinfectant we are using is just straight liquid so I dont see why it stopped working.
