HART 20-Volt Brushless Impact Driver Kit (1) 20-Volt 2.0Ah Lithium-ion Battery

I was skeptical of the 2200 inch-pound claim. 2200 divided by 12 is 183 ft-pounds which is a lot (nobody in the real world measures impact wrench torque in inch-pounds). Most car and SUV lug nuts require less than 100 ft-lbs. After testing it on my Tacoma which calls for 83 ft-lbs, I tried the Hart impact driver on a 95 Ford F-super duty dually which has 140 ft-lb stamped on each lug nut. After rattling for a few seconds, the lugnut started turning and then spun off. I tried it on several lug nuts. Then I rattled them back on, being careful to not over tighten. I finished with a click torque wrench, and it only required about 1/8 turn to get to 140 ft pounds. I could have easily exceeded the 140 ft-lbs with the Hart torque wrench if I had kept rattling. It's important to be careful to not over-torque, especially with lug nuts, as is the case with all heavy duty impact drivers. This one doesn't have multiple torque settings, just forward and reverse. To do that test I used a 1/4" hex to 1/2" square drive adapter which I bought separately. The only drive tool that the driver came with was a #2 Phillips bit. There are several different accessory kits available, with adapters, sockets and screwdriver bits. If you buy the Hart accessories that are made for use with this driver, then you'll know that they're safe for impact use. Not all accessories that will fit a 1/4" hex drive are safe for impact use. I used it to remove some #3 Phillips screws that hold the cargo hooks in my Tacoma. I couldn't turn them by hand but the Hart impact driver quickly rattled them loose. Also bought a drill chuck adapter and it worked fine drilling 5/16 holes in a cinder block, but not any faster than my cordless drill. All in all a much better tool than I expected. I'm baffled as to why such a powerful tool has a 1/4" hex drive, and surprised that the adapter handled the torque! I charged the battery when I got it and have yet to have to recharge it. I highly recommend it!

This is the newer Brushless model #HPID25VN single speed Impact Driver w/2a Battery #BPH002, and Charger #CGH001. I've been doing testing with this Hart model comparing it to my Ryobi P238 18v and my DeWalt XR 887 20v which both fall into the same price range, but the P238 and D887 both did better in many ways. The obvious, both those are 3 speed and include Fast Chargers, both have Battery level indicators, this Hart has neither and charges much slower. This Hart is a great household tool, it fits well in hand, has a nice headlamp, runs super slow to full 3000 no load RPM. The Hart motor is half as loud as the D887, and a bit quieter than the P238 as well. Personally I like the hand grip area better on the other two because they have a middle finger rest that feels better after time, but the Hart is spongier with raised tread-like grip area. The headlamp on this Hart HPID25VN is quite unique, it's mounted near the battery and shines upward and forward toward your workpiece which works very well lighting the workspace. One thing that's a but annoying on this Hart model is the Bit Chuck.. the locking collar needs to be pulled forward in order to lock the bit in, whereas my other chucks lock in the bits by just inserting them one handed. All models need the colar pulled forward to release the bits, but the Hart makes it necessary to use two hands because the Hart doesn't push the bit out, whereas the other models push the bit out some making it a one-handed operation. Overall the HPID25VN is a great machine for any home workshop, it drives the largest fasteners any homeowner would use, has a 3 year warranty, and the battery is cross compatible with many other Hart power tools. Recommended!

I got this 20 volt Hart impact driver for my husband. He loves it. It comes with the 20-volt battery and charger. He says that it has good torque and power. He is a auto mechanic and handyman so he definitely knows his tools!

The HART 20-Volt Brushless Impact Driver Kit is a powerful tool. This driver has been put through the paces since it was received. The battery life is excellent; lasted all day under constant use. The battery charges quickly with the included quick charger. The driver comes with a sturdy belt clip which makes it easy to carry around. There is a variable speed trigger so the more pressure you put on the trigger the higher the speed. There is a ¼” quick connect that makes the bits very easy to install and remove. Although you have to use two hands to switch the bits where other brands make it doable with one hand. There is an integrated work light also. There is storage for one bit on the tool and it seems to hold it pretty snug so it should not fall out. Performed as well if not better than big name brands. This driver has handled everything that has been thrown at it including 6” lag bolts with east. The only thing that would make this better is if the battery had a tester built in to it so you can check your battery life. Overall I would recommend this tool. I have already purchased an additional battery for back up.

The Hart Brushless Impact Driver Kit is a great tool. ‘Kit’ refers to the fact that it includes the battery and fast charger rather than just the bare tool. It also includes a Phillips type bit, a belt clip and a storage bag. As a driver it does not have a chuck but only a hex coupler that accepts one quarter inch hex bits. You can store one bit on the back of the driver base. There is a button accessible on both sides for forward/reverse/lock. The trigger is a full variable speed switch that is very controllable. The brushless motor is very powerful and has more power than my B&D 20v drill motor. Since it is brushless, I assume it will last longer. It has a 3-year warranty. The included battery is a 2ah lithium-ion battery. This is my first Hart power tool so the Kit with the battery and charger was the best choice for me. I like having both a drill and a driver so that I can drill holes and drive screws with the two separate tools rather than constantly having to change bits. So far I am very happy with this tool.

This Hart 20-volt brushless impact kit is indeed an entire kit. It comes with everything you need, including the brushless impact driver, the 20-volt battery that also fits other Hart products, a case that is super nice and bits. I used it to take the tire off of the push mower and I didn’t have to pull the trigger all the way. 2 seconds flat and done! Super fast charging too. This is a very good tool to have in the garage if you are a homeowner or rent/lease with a yard to take care of. This is also super easy to use. We also took the blade off of the tractor and put a new one on using this. I think it’s just a great thing to have.

The HART 20-volt brushless impact driver kit is my new favorite tool. It has a nice weight to it but easy to grip and use. It is super fast and powerful and made household DIY projects much easier. I love the light and rechargeable battery. Going to buy more bits to tackle even more tasks off my list.

This impact driver came with a battery which is a plus. I’ve used it multiple times and have yet to need to charge it. Battery is long lasting. Drill itself is awesome too. It has ultimate power and easy to use as well. Makes projects faster to finish. I didn’t know I even needed this tool until I used it. Some projects I do don’t need as much force so I still need to use a regular drill but I’ve found most of my projects need the impact and it’s so much better. It also comes with a charger, belt clip, and it’s own carrying case.

I'm really excited to have this new BRUSHLESS impact driver. It is a great update for my 13 year old Ryobi. And relative to my trusted Ryobi, the newcomer has a few distinct advantages. The Hart driver is slightly shorter in height, slightly lighter. But front to back, the depth is quite a bit shorter. Therefore, the weight of the tool is distributed more toward the center. That helps balance and handling a lot. It is easier to my arm and wrist. Interestingly, the battery works much like a DeWalt power tool. Press a tab on the front and slide. Another advantage is that the integrated light is MUCH brighter than the Ryobi. It is located on top of battery compartment so it can illuminate a much wider area. That helps. The best thing about the light is that once I put the trigger in the middle, I can turn on the light without spinning the driver. That is a genius move. I don't have this feature on all my Ryobi and DeWalt power tools. When it comes to actually driving the fasteners, the new tool is a bit more powerful. Not a lot. But I can tell the difference. I think I can save 10% of the time driving the same fastener. Combined with the improved handling comfort, this is a great improvement. The included 2.0AH battery lasts all day for me once fully charged. I think these are the best thing about being brushless. It is actually not longevity. My brushed Ryobi last me 13 years and going. So contrary to the common concept of brushless being long lasting and low maintenance, I think these features are not as important for most homeowners. The improved power and comfort in handling is the key.
