HART 20V 8.5" Edger ( 1) 2.0Ah Lithium-Ion Battery

I used the 1st time and used the 2nd setting. It was a little hard to get the grove started but worked great. Have since gone to the deepest setting and now is very easy to keep up with edging. Did not know if 20 volt product would be good enough, but it is great!

The Hart edger does a beautiful job and is easy to use. I'm so glad I found battery-operated equipment because it reduces I need for gas and oil that smells so bad. It has nice weight too it but isn't too heavy and I really like the adjustment for the depth of the cut.

This edger is absolutely incredible, literally works with a push of a button. If you're looking for a nice edger that cuts tremendously and is very easy to work this is it! This is very light weight, roughly 10-15 pounds so your hands and arms won't get tired easily. The handle is adjustable, so you can put it however makes it comfortable for you to hold. It has a trigger lock out so you don't have to worry about it accidently starting. There's a lever on the bottom that's very easy to adjust, with four different settings on the depth you want to cut. I love that this is cord free and you can purchase additional batteries for it also, although the battery life has been great! I have only charged this once within the past week and have used it for several hours on and off due to the weather here. I also want to mention this is not loud at all, which I absolutely love with this too. This is terrific for anyone honestly, but especially beginners, I am a beginner and this was very easy for me to understand and use. It comes with instructions that are clear and easy to understand as well as a holding pin and wrench for when you need to change the blade. Overall, this is a great edger and I absolutely recommend!!

I'm short woman and this is perfect. Not heavy...took me a minute to figure out how to use and once got sidewalks done, I use this every other week to maintain the clean line

Works very well easy to balance for painless use. Only wish is that the battery lasts longer. I will have to buy a second battery to get my driveway edging finished.

Battery showing error when attempting to charge. Just got delivered and went to charge the battery before use, like how the manual says, and it already shows an error. I don't have any other Batteries and will have to pick up both a battery and charger at a local store now.

Order showed up late. The order had been taken out of the original packaging and put into a big box with several pieces missing and someone put curtain rods in the box with the broken up edger and delivered it to the that way. I went to the Texas City Texas store to return the order immediately. They refunded me all but the money I had paid for the warranty. I was told that if I came back within the next two days they would give it to me. The warranty was 16.00 but I was short 17.00. So it looks like I will get screwed out of a dollar. I was so unhappy. This was a birthday gift for my husband. The look on his face when he opened it was heart breaking. I don't know if I want to order online again or purchase anything else from Walmart.

I received my Hart Cordless Lawn Edger today. As I was putting the two piece shaft together, the larger wheel in the back fell off on the floor. This was a Preambled part and had a regular flat washer on the grooved shaft where there should have been a C clip that fits into a grove/notch to keep the wheel on the shaft. I contacted HartTools to get the part and now they want my Hart receipt. I guess I will send it back to Walmart and write this off as a Walmart/Hart faiilure order!

I can't rate the use of this item because the day it came to my door was also the day I put in for a refund. The way the edger is packaged, it comes in two parts that you have to connect together by the shafts of each respective portion, however the cord that carries power from the battery to the motor is within that shaft. When I opened the box I got ready to connect the two shafts together I noticed that the internal power cord was completely cut and cleanly too which makes me think it was an accidental machinging/manufacturing issue. There was a sheath around the cord where it would bend when still in the package but it had been cut through as well. Needless to say, it was disappointing to see. The refund process was painless at least, but it is annoying that I have to order another one and wait another few days and hope I get a functioning one. That actually warrants a question. HART makes several power tools within their shared 20V battery line and many of them are carried within Walmart stores. In fact, HART has three types of string trimmers/edgers (one of which is in a combo pack with a leaf blower) that is carried in store but the only bladed edger they produce can only be bought online which is incredibly odd as it is inconvenient. However, I do plan to order another one because I do enjoy the HART line of products and I really want to add this to my growing slate of tools, I'm just really disappointed that something brand new out of box came shipped completely unusable and the inconvenience involved in purchasing/receiving another. I'm giving it a One-Star rating for now; if/when I receive a working one and can actually put it through its paces I'll write a review based on how well it operates and rate it accordingly.

Ordered this twice. First time there was something wrong with the battery. Retuned it which was very easy although I would have preferred to swap battery out. Second time the wheel on bottom arrived broken off. I just gave up on it and purchased a different brand
