Ok…bought my trimmer with another item another grass trimmer…great price…really like Hart tools…have the 40v variety…gave the 20 v a try and both batteries were dead…I was very disappointed, however I had read where someone charged their batteries with another charger to kick start them…went to YouTube and sure enough there was a video on it…took my 6/12 v charger plugged in the positive negative slots…charged for 30 secs…then put them in harts charger and it worked…and stuff never works for me…this did…hope this helps
I purchased the hedge trimmer despite noticing several buyers report the battery wouldnt charge. I too found this was the case, but was able to jump it from another 18v battery for about 10 seconds and then the charger recognized it and everything worked normally. Hope this helps someone, be safe.
battery came dead but I called company for battery directly they sent me another one. i tested does the job.
I give the hedge trimmer itself a 5 star, it's awesome!! The battery get a 0 stars, totally dead. Called WM and Hart and they don't just replace a battery. Luckily I have another battery, if you don't I wouldn't buy this as the reviews about the battery issues are true, sadly.
Sent with a defective battery. Charger is ok. I have had a difficult time working with Hart for a battery replacement. On the phone the agent was able to determine the battery was defective. My first email from Hart requested documentation. I sent a picture of the section of the product box that showed all the delivery information. Now they are requesting what store I used, order number etc. I have, just now, gone to my Walmart account purchase history and sent the details of this purchase. Hopefully, I have met all their requirements and will at some point receive a working battery.
The hedger is great and cuts really well. unfortunately, the battery that comes with it is dead upon arrival. I purchased another and when it arrived, it was dead too! I went to the store and purchase a charger and battery and the battery was dead to! When you plug it into charge, it shows a rapid red flashing light and won't take a charge.
Don't bother with this. It's a great price for a reason, it comes with a completely dead battery. Won't charge, just flashes red. I'll be returning this on Monday. Unfortunately it's not in stores and I'm told they won't just swap out the bad battery for a good one. Lesson learned, it was on clearance for a reason.
Dont buy the brand. The batteries do not charge and cant be exchanged in the store. I was told to return the unit and buy another one so i did and the second one had a defective battery as well. Pay alittle more more quality product because this brand isnt it!!
I can't even try it because the battery doesn't work. Not sure if it's the charger that's broke or if it's a bad battery. But it sucks. I shouldn't have to deal with that.
very awkward, very little power, the battery that it came with was no good. I have several other Hart tools that I am satisfied with, so I had other batteries. I have a Hart hedge trimmer that is great, so I expected the poke version to be good as well, but it isn't nearly as good. would spend a little more and buy a different brand if I were to do it over again.
