HART 25-Foot Chrome Tape Measure

I love the big numbers, I use it with customers, and sometimes the customers have a hard time seeing small print. Great for that.!!

Seems to be a very durable tape measure. Large numbers for easy viewing. Purchased at a very good price comparing to other brands.

Tape seems to be well made. I use it in the woods to measure logs. Works good.

The flavor was good however I marinated them and they were still a little tough

easy to read and fits well in my hand. the belt clip works great too

I really enjoy good solid tools that do not cost that much but are still dependable and great tools!

Great tape easy to read

This 25 foot tape measure has some heft to it at three-quarters of a pound, however, the case sounds like and appears to be a chrome coated shiny grey/silver colored plastic. It looks well made and has a sturdy belt clip on the back. The tape itself and the large attached hook are made of metal. The chrome hook is double-sided so it can be attached to either the top or bottom of an item while measuring. The tape extended out to 100 inches without folding up and hitting the ground. It has actual fractions printed on the bottom of the tape — quarters and eighths, while the top has the usual lines. It was very easy to measure the length and width of my patio using this device. I had to use heavy duty shears to get the tape measure out of its packaging.

This is a nice piece of hardware! The design of the Hart chrome tape measure is clean, and it has a quality feel to it. I like the non-slip knurling around the outside of the canister. I held the extended tape out about 4 or 5 feet without any sign of it collapsing, though the packaging claims you can hold it out a full 11 feet. The design is somewhat similar to a Lufkin I found on the side of the road years ago, but that old tape measure looks like it bounced on the asphalt for about a half mile. The locking mechanism on this Hart is very useful in that just pushing it down about half of the way will freeze the tape good enough for most situations, but fully pushing it all of the way until it locks will very securely hold the tape in place. Another thing I appreciate is that you can add an even 3 inches when doing an inside measurement and don't have to add a fractional number to get your total included length. I also like the big hook on the end of the tape to make it easier when you're measuring something really long by yourself. I'll get a lot of use out of this great tool.
