This is a heavy duty tape measure. Without being electronic, it has all the bells and whistles I'll ever need. Magnet, locking tape measure, extra long end to hold better, metal belt clip, and even a little push button on the bottom for a temporary hold without having to engage the lock. This tape measure has way more markings than any other I've ever seen. It has 1/8, 3/8, 5/8 and 7/8 in black on every inch, and it has 1/4, 1/2, and 3/4 in red on every inch and it has markings for every 16th of an inch. Easy to read, easy to measure. Each foot on the tape is marked in Feet and Inches (1F/12, 2F/24, 3F/36, etc.). And every inch has the total number of Feet and Inches. This seems to have it all. I am really impressed with this and I don't think you can go wrong purchasing this!

The Hart 30-foot tape measure is a must have in a home project. This tape is extremely user friendly and ergonomically designed, just the perfect size and weight, feels good in hand. Solid and durable, it weighs a pound and five ounces. Built to last, with several great features. Its rubber housing provides a better grip so it won't slide out of hand. Easy to read fractions are distinctly marked on the blade as well as stud markings every 16 inches. The blade is one inch wide and can stand out for full 11 feet by sliding the button down until you hear the click. The blue blade stop button is conveniently located at the bottom for extra protection. The oversized right angled magnetic hook is 1-1/4 inches wide. What's more, the tape measure is equipped with an integrated heavy duty wire form belt clip on the back. Measurement Standard used is SAE, common in use in the United States. Overall it's a great tool designed with an end user in mind. A must have for any DIYer as well as a pro. The HART 30-Foot Pro grade Tape Measure is the best tape measure I've used for a number of reasons. Keep in mind any 30-foot tape measure is going to be large and a little heavy, which this one is, but it needs to be. The first great thing about this tape measure is it's 30' and I can't believe how frequently that comes in handy by being able to take a single measurement rather than two you need to add together. Next is that it's wide, which gives the tape the integrity to not fold or twist when unrolled to full length. It's also magnetic, with a small but strong magnet on the end of the tape which is a helpful feature. The lock button has an ergo groove for your thumb making it easy to engage the lock. It also has a belt clip, but it's small and combined with the large body and weight, this tape measure isn't necessarily one you'd want to tote on your belt all day long. FYI this tape measure only has inches/feet but no cm/m on it. I love this tape measure and absolutely recommend it!

This is a serious tape measure. I have never had one over like nine feet so to see a 30 feet tape measure is honestly pretty cool. It is definitely heavier than a traditional tape measure, but not so heavy that I would not hesitate to grab this one every time. On the outside there is a clip so you can attach it to your belt or hang on your tool bag for easy access. There is an awesome button on the bottom that stops the measuring line from being pulled out to pushed in. So you can just hold down that button rather than putting the lock down for quick measures. It is a great size and easy to hold, which is really important when you are needing it to work in weird angles. The measurements are easy to read and very thorough in terms of how many different measurements they added to the tape measure. All in all this feels like a really well built tape measure and I am really happy to be adding it to our tool bag, it is going to be so convenient to not have to guess after our old tape measures always ran out!

This tape measure is easy to read and the fraction markings makes it a true measurement instead of estimating. I like the fact that the tape measure is wide. It's easy to use and steady. It also is magnetic. This ideal to have in a tool box. I would recommend having one in the home to use.

From the magnetic rip to the belt clip, this is a very nice tape measure. There's not much you cannot measure with this. I really love the magnetic tip; it is very strong so it doubles as a tool picker upper :) The key features my husband (we both used it) liked most was the blade stop button because it controls blade retraction and protects his finger. The wire forms that clip helps reduce belt/pocket fraying. There are many good things he liked. It has fraction markings for quick and accurate reads. I was looking forward to adding the Hart 30-Foot Magnetic Measuring Tape to my bag of tools, but there are some things to consider: - It's heavy at 1½ lbs. and awkward to hold. - Difficult to use the LOCK button. It would only go down so far before I had to use my other hand to exert pressure to lower and click it into place. - I had the same problem releasing it. I used one hand to keep the blade from retracting with the "easy finger brake" method then I used my other hand to pull the LOCK button up. - Some minor twisting. On the plus side: - It's 30 feet long! Great for any project. - The standout extension or breakpoint is 11 feet. - Oversized hook and magnetic tip. - The numbers are large and easy to read. - I appreciate the clear markings for fractions, inches, and feet. No guesswork. - There are markings of RED SQUARES every 16 inches for stud placements. - And BLACK DIAMONDS every 19.2 inches as well. If the weight, size, and lock button issues are not a problem, this HART measuring tape could be the one for you.
