I RECENTLY BOUGHT A HART SELF-PROPELLED ELECTRIC LAWNMOWER (40V,6AH) FOR MY HUSBAND BECAUSE HE SAID THAT OUR GAS POWERED SELF-PROPELLED LAWN MOWER (WHICH WORKS GOOD--7 YRS. OLD) WAS HARD (TO HEAVY) TO PUSH UP AND DOWN OUR FRONT LAWN HILL, NOW THAT HE IS GETTING OLDER. ACCORDING TO HIM, THE ELECTRIC LAWN MOWER THAT I BOUGHT FOR HIM ,IS A LOT EASIER ON HILLS AND A LOT LIGHTER TO PUSH--HE LOVES IT!!!!! HE SAYS THAT IT HAS A LOT OF POWER, ALSO. (MAKE SURE YOU BUY THE 40V, 6AH NOT THE 20V OR 4AH) IT DID COME WITH ONE 40V (LARGE) BATTERY AND CHARGER FOR IT , BUT THE BATTERY BEING FULLY CHARGED--ONLY MOWED FOR ABOUT 50 MINUTES (OUR LAWN TAKES 80 MINUTES TO MOW)--SO I PURCHASED THIS EXTRA 40V, 6AH BATTERY AND HE KEEPS BOTH OF THEM CHARGED FULLY BEFORE HE MOWS. THE SECOND BATTERY, BY ITSELF, WAS VERY EXPENSIVE. COMPARED TO THE REASONABLE PRICE OF THE LAWNMOWER AND CHARGER AND BATTERY PACKAGE TOGETHER, BUT WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO--MY HUSBAND SAYS THAT IT WAS WORTH THE COST OF THE SECOND BATTERY.
The battery is powerful. It works well and holds a charge very well. But it is on the expensive side compared to comparable batteries from other companies. I bought it because it works with the HART lawn mower, I already have, but if I were buying a replacement lawn mower, I would switch to a different brand that uses less expensive batteries.
I needed a backup battery for my lawn mower and this one works perfect. I can now mow multiple yards in one day without having to worry about running out of battery.
What can I say? It's a battery. Battery works fine. What I can say really loudly is...OMG this battery is expensive!! I had to have a new one bc I broke the original one that came with my mower. The delivery was really quick (driver startled me whilst I was daydreaming). It was not charged when I received it (as most things are nowadays) so I did I have to wait a good long time (it seemed) before I could get to my mowing. It ran out of juice before I finished my lawn but I am old and slow so maybe it was just me.
As of right now it works just like the original. Walmart shipped it fast like the next day. Good item
These batteries cost more than the mower itself. but that's how things are, i guess... With that said, it works perfectly.
Battery only lasted 1 year, just outside of warranty. It completely stopped charging. Had to buy a new one ($198 absolutely ridiculous), or I couldn't use the mower.
I had no idea that the 40 V batteries wear out in a year or two. I have invested my entire lawn-care inventory in Hart, and had three batteries Peter out this spring. Only had them 2 years. To replace is ridiculously expensive. So, I'm going back to gas powered equipment. You can get a mower less expensive than a battery. Gas mowers last 5 years min. Soon as my other batteries wear out, I'll be replacing my weed eater, hedge trimmer, pole saw, etc back to gas unless the price of batteries goes down drastically.
I bought a new battery for my lawnmower and the battery wasn't fully charged when received and wouldn't charge. , again never buy anything from Hart. They don't care about the customer only money. When something happens. They don't care and customer service there don't care. Don't buy Hart again FYI Now I can't use my lawnmower because can't get a working battery or charger. Terrible
Costs way too much. You're better off just buying another tool that it fits on for a little more because it will come with a battery. That way you have the extra tool AND a spare battery that will work on both!
